And upon testing the two features on both machines, believe it or not, they’re also identical, when it comes to its ease of use. First to mention is their top drop-in bobbin with a clear cover to make it easier to monitor the thread supply. Additionally, the bobbin winds up very well on both machines. While both machines lack a speed control button, you can still manually adjust the speed through the foot control pressure — this allows you to increase or decrease the speed while sewing.

Versatility

In looking for a sewing machine, the first thing that pops on my mind is can it sew on a variety of fabrics? Luckily, these two machines are heavy-duty, thus, it can sew on a variety of fabrics, but does it perform as you would expect?

Customers have been using it on heavyweight materials such as denim, upholstery, canvas, corduroy, and leather, as well as thinner fabrics like rayon, satin, silk, and Lycra[2].
