It lasted about 12 days and then I just peeled it off too. I commented on a friend's long nails and she said she had done shellac and thinks it was making her nails grow longer. I had my husband order a UV light and the shellac off ebay for me for Christmas, and for under $100 I have everything I need. I've been giving myself (and everyone I know) shellac manicures every couple weeks....Best. Present. Ever. It was right before a vacation, so I wanted my nice nails to last a long time. The shellac did last a long time (I think mine was 2 weeks and a few days) and my nails looked really nice during that time. Taking it off, though, was another story... I peeled it off and it wrecked my nails! It took about 2 months for my nails to get back to normal. To be fair, though, the manicurist did tell me that I should come back to have it taken off...
