How Midi can you go

Necklace: giveaway win (similar) | Shirt: thrifted Target - $3 | Skirt: vintage c/o thredUP (similar) | Heels: thrifted Nine West - $3 (similar) | Total = $6

This midi skirt is my third item from thredUP! (If you didn't know, you can get $10 off your first purchase through this link.) My first perfect-midi-length skirt. I have a floral one that hit at a weird part on my calves that made my already big calves look very...attractive. So I hemmed it. THIS, however, doesn't require any alterations because it's PERFECT and makes my ankles look so sexy. You can't deny.

Has anyone else had trouble finding the perfect midi skirt? Or is it just me and my big legs? (and sexy ankles.)

  4. I have trouble with midi skirts. They make me look short because I'm slightly on the shorter side of the bell curve. I have to wear shoes with heels to look taller.

  5. I just love the simplicity of this look, yet the red color makes the look fresher.

  12. Elaine,

Have you had a good experience selling via ThredUP? Could you share pros and cons or advice if you've done so??? Would totally appreciate it! I'm debating...got a bag from them in the mail but I've heard they're quite picky so not sure if I should run the Ebay route or not...

    1. I haven't! To be honest, I haven't gotten rid of much of my clothes since before I was pregnant. Have you seen their info page about it? Also, if you click on the magnifying glass for individual bags, you can see what people have made for each item. It gives a good general idea. If you don't have a lot of time, it would be an easy route. If you're willing to shell out extra hours to post on eBay or an Instagram shop, I say go that route!

    2. Thanks girl! Sounds good... We'll see. I have a little one too so selling on Ebay seems near impossible.

  13. How strange! I always thought a midi was a skirt a bit below the knees! You learn something new every day! =)
It looks very nice on you!
I think the type of shoe worn with longer skirts is also helpful in the overall flattering of the legs. I like to wear flip flops a lot...they do NOT look good with hi-lo skirts! Still struggling to find some low heeled shoes that are cute, as once the heel goes down, it seems they lose some of their cuteness.
How did you get hooked up with thredUP? I ask because I'm interested in working with them.
