vintage dress - $8 | vintage belt - $3 (similar) | J. Renee booties - $103 | Total = $114

Over the weekend, I was able to get a sneak peek at the new BYUtv family-friendly show, Granite Flats. I loved the vintage styles featured that it inspired me to pull out a vintage dress of my own from the back of my closet! I haven't worn it in so long. I paired it with the classic red lips that I saw so much on the show.

The thing with most TV shows these days is there seems to be a great divide between adult shows (too serious, dramatic, dark, crude) and kids' shows (Nickelodeon, Disney, Yo Gabba Gabba). There's not much in the middle?? Granite Flats fits that unknown middle category perfectly. It centers around three kids in a small town in Colorado (but it's really filmed in Magna, Utah!) as well as small connected stories of the people around them about a mysterious comet. It kind of reminds me of LOST.

The first episode is airing next Sunday. If you don't have BYUtv, you can watch it on their site! Like and follow them on Facebook to stay updated on new episodes and for behind-the-scenes.

And I had to sneak in our family Easter pic!

  1. I really like this dress! also, baby has the cutest cheeks!

  2. I like your shoes!

    xo Jennifer

  3. Spencer and I always crack up at the Granite Flat commercials, especially at the girl shouting "Arthur!". (No cable at our house, but we stream BYUtv via our Roku.) That being said, we will definitely watch at least the first episode.

Also, you look amazing in red lipsticks.

  4. No, YOU look amazing in red lipsticks!!!

  5. I always see the commercials for this show! Now I have to take a peek. You look beautiful Elaine!

  6. I love this look. You've actually inspired me to venture from the jeans and t-shirt look for some more feminine things. My husband thanks you. :)

And your little chunky monkey is adorable.

  7. what big smiles on all of your faces!
