Nothing brings a "dress-out-loud" feel to your wardrobe like a little bit of bling. If you -- by you, I mean me -- already have enough basics in your wardrobe to last ten years, then here's a super easy fix for the yawn-inducing pieces in your closet. And once the holidays are long gone, you'll have a top with one-of-the-kind detailing you can grab to punch up your other neutral basics. And FYI, when you're choosing your strand of jewels, watch out for anything that's too 3-D and chunky. You don't want the weight to pull the front of your shirt down unnaturally. Just my two cents.

Here are some more tutorials by Kristina that turn a boring basic into a snazzy statement piece perfect for the holidays!

wow.
ReplyDeleteSo here's my question...this looks really cute and all but how do you wash this after you've added a metal necklace to it? Would you have to hand-wash it or just throw it in one of those home dry-clean bags?
ReplyDeleteYeah...a general rule of DIY--If it's hand worked it should be hand washed. A dry clean bag would work as well if you prefer. I've hand washed this and even thrown it in the dryer until almost dry and it's been okay.
