Gap dress cut to be a t-shirt, $8 (similar); cream flower c/o Hot Magnets; striped skirt via eBay, $11 (similar); Target clog sandals (similar)
This skirt is such a statement piece, I don't feel there is much I can do with it besides change out the top and shoes and maybe add an accessory. Remember this outfit? It's the same formula! But, that's what formulas are for...they're so easy and uncomplicated. Reminds me of a recent article I read on the Huffington Post about a woman who basically got over the time-wasted efforts of getting dressed by having a simple uniform/formula. But it makes me wonder.. are there any successful fashion bloggers with a certain uniform/formula? It seems most have to switch things up and not look like they're wearing the same things all the time like someone here.....
You are glowing! I hope your pregnancy is treating you well.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have formulas for remixing such pieces too lol

gorgeous woman you! you're a really cute pregnant lady!
ReplyDeleteLittle Chief Honeybee pretty much follows a short-dress-with-opaque-leggings-and-statement-shoes formula. I stopped following her because I thought it was repetitive, but she's got a ton of followers on Bloglovin' and GFC.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! It's like you're glowing..prefection! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'll have to keep this one in mind for the future.

I think the outfit looks quite chic. As far as having a "certain uniform/formula" is concerned, mine is a solid top/tee paired with some nicely fitted jeans/trousers and a bright scarf. I try to keep the scarf as the focal point of my outfit and this formula works both for office and casual wear. I switch bags and shoes to make the outfit more interesting.

ReplyDeleteI didn´t know you were expecting... Congratulations!! You look smart with this stripped skirt, apart from comfy!!
ReplyDeleteI love the added flower! What a fun pop of.. well fun haha. Very cute and simple. I think that simple outfit more easily inspire people. Complicated outfits are a little intimidating so I think as a blogger you are doing amazing!

Come on Elaine, YOU'RE the successful blogger with the outfit uniform! I think I've seen this skirt/shirt combo on ClothedMuch before, but it still looks as fresh and as fun as ever! I personally love and get so much more out of bloggers wearing things again and again multiple ways, because that's the kind of style I'm aspiring to (on my student budget). You rock! And I looove that flower pin, forever. Who knew how much mileage you could get out of a simple accessory?
