| My shorts are a DIY from Pinterest! Yes, I actually did one of the million DIY projects I just love pinning and saying I'll do later. This was a proud moment. |

Banana Republic white button-up (similar); DIY shorts; Sperry boat shoes; J.Crew belt (similar with a bow); Target clutch (similar)
So, my super cool friend Noelene invited me to join her as her +1 to Stan Lee's Comikaze. It's basically a smaller Comic-Con, but my first "con" ever. She had to cover the event, and I got novice face paint.... True to fashion form, I got it to match my outfit. ;)
So, I had a hard time figuring out what to wear to such an event. I knew lots of people wore costumes (I see them walking around when I drive home past the L.A. Convention Center.), but what about people who don't wear costumes? Solution: I kept it casual in my polka dot jeans and boat shoes with a collared white shirt.

So super cute! Love that colorful clutch!!!

Also appropriate for non-costumed con goers would be a comic/show/movie shirt and jeans ;) you looked great! Hope you had fun!

I want to make polka dot pants, but I'm scared to use pants I like in case I mess them up! I guess it should practice on ones that I don't love.
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you there, but it is actually really easy. I totally didn't expect it to be that easy. I was really surprised with how much I love them
ReplyDeleteTouche. I'll have to grab myself a comicon worthy t-shirt for my next trip :)
