thrifted Gap chambray shirt, $3 (similar); thrifted Gap jeans cut into shorts, $8 (similar); JCPenney heels (similar); thrifted bag, $3
I recently thrifted these boyfriend jeans but they were too stiff and baggy so I cut them right below my knees and rolled the hem twice. I've been wanting a pair of boyfriend shorts forever. And, a year later, the thrift gods have made it happen. Since I got these, I've been wearing them nonstop. They're all I wore on the east coast trip. They're pretty much the only jeans that fit me...for now...
I was inspired by this look from Krystal. I've done denim on denim before. (So easy and trendy!) But, not with shorts! Now my life is complete.
Oh, and our car was broken into this morning. So, yeah. I think we're officially Los Angelenos.

Cute flats!! Also, I really like how you mixed denims that are so similar in wash. When I read the title, I assumed it would be like one darker denim and one lighter to provide some contrast, so I was thrown off by the similarity. But you totally make it work!

You look super cute and what a great outfit. Love the shoes and the vintage D&B...xoxox
ReplyDeleteWho says you can't wear two similar shades of denim!?! You look fan-tastic! I love the pop of color your flats give the outfit as well. Currently I am really loving all plum shades...I have a feeling I will be adding a lot of the hue to my Autumn wardrobe. Love your blog...love what you're about...amazing!

Hi Lauren, sorry about that! I honestly don't know how to fix it :/. So for now, I'll try to pin future posts onto my newly made Clothed Much board. If you see an older post you want to pin but can't, let me know and I'll put it up. Thanks for letting me know!
ReplyDeleteI know the post is about your jeans but your bag! <3 If the thrift gods could just make that happen for me that would be perfect.

ReplyDeleteIs anyone else unable to pin images from this site on Pinterest? Elaine, I'd love to save some of these looks for future inspiration but it doesn't seem to work via the Pinterest extension for Chrome or just going to the Pinterest site and putting in the address of the post. The Pinterest extension says "sorry, cannot pin this image." Do you know anything about this?
ReplyDeleteIs it weird that I can't wait to see your baby bump? lol
