secondhand blouse via yard sale, $1 (similar in solid black); Target pink belt (similar); thrifted Express pants, $8 (similar); Vince Camuto heels, $76
So...I've had these pants for a while...but...never wore them...obviously...because...I don't know. I just didn't know what to wear with them? They seemed too businessy? too grown-up? But, now that I'm a grown-up (Ha ha, no, I'm not.), I figured it was time to bust them out. And, now I'm wondering why I never did because they make my legs look long and amazing. As a shorty, I need all the help I can get.
Side story about these pants: I bought them at the thrift store only to get home to find a stupid anti-theft tag on it!!! That's probably why someone donated them. Chase and I looked on the YouTube and after 23nf9823r73 hours were able to get it off. (You can find anything on the 'Tube these days..) We made a couple holes on one of the hems in the process (tear) but at least the stupid tag is off and the holes are barely noticeable unless you were staring at my feet...creeper.
Also, check out my butt pedometer. I just joined the 10,000 steps a day club. I sit all day for my job so this tracker reminds me to move it move it. And.... confession: I only broke the 10,000 cap once...when Chase and I went for a walk-talk and ended up walking 5 miles. We're hardcore like that. I'm also reverting to pillow talks..

That happened to me once! I still had the pants in my car and asked the cashier at a TJ Maxx to remove it. She took the ink tag off lickety split!
ReplyDeleteI wear a pedometer too! We're having a competition at my company, and I'm really glad I'm on a team otherwise I'd be in last place, haha! Is yours a different kind of pedometer? Just curious because I thought they had to be placed on your hip...
ReplyDeleteThose pants are perfection on you. Glad you could figure out a way to remove the antitheft tag. :) Now I'm realizing that I need a red skinny belt ...
ReplyDeleteThose pants are amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteLove those pants! And the top!! :D
ReplyDeleteMy dad is doing the 10000 steps a day thing for work, he he. I hardly ever walk anymore...its bad

I need a pedometer too! I sit all day long at work too. I've started just going for walks down/up the stairs and around the building every couple of hours though.

Such a cute outfit! Love the jeans and the pop of color from your belt.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how cheap you find all your clothes for! What a great top and those pants really suit you. Love the pedometer too! 5 miles! Bit intense for me. Ha.

Interesting story, about your pants. It's like...two for the price of one. Lovely outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh haha too funny! Fashion first, of course ;)
ReplyDeleteI think these are perfect work or casual jeans. First thing I notice is how tiny you look...you look tiny all the time, but these jeans are very flattering. I'll need to look up that you tube video next time I don't feel like running back to the store!
ReplyDeleteI think I enjoy your blog way too much...just saying.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are so right about the height those pants give you! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning! I kind of hate you a little bit for snagging that blouse for only a $1! And the jeans, totally worth all the youtube hours - nobody is going to be looking at your feet :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pants.

I love those jeans!! I am going to start looking for some as I love how they look! (I'm a shorty too ;) )
ReplyDeleteThose jeans are so flattering on you! And that really sucks about the anti theft thing, must've been annoying. Glad it came off eventually :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit and you look fabulous like always!
ReplyDeleteToo much? Is there such a thing? ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been reading up on that! I know I wouldn't come close to 10,000 at all but I'd sure like to try. First I need to get a cheap pedometer though.
ReplyDeleteOh, mine usually is. I just put it in the back for the pics. Haha
ReplyDeleteLady. I don't think I convey properly how much I love your blog. You crack me up. These pants do look very lovely on you. I love the lose button up as well and that is a great butt, er, pedometer shot. I would never probably break the 10k mark. I'm shamefully lazy sometimes. But then again, I have three kids so . . . maybe I just don't realize how much I walk/run around.
ReplyDeleteUm, I need some leg lengthening pants, STAT! Love them on you! You look about 8 feet tall. =)
