I took these pics a while ago.. like last month. I'm good about taking outfit pics as you can see from my Instagram. It's writing these posts that is the hard part. I mean, what am I supposed to talk about? I don't even remember what happened the day I wore this. And I can't recount my day today because it has nothing to do with this outfit.
So, I'll just leave you with a tip.. If you're getting tired of your tops, wear a cardigan buttoned up...but not all the way. Unbutton the first button for a sexy librarian look. If you unbutton two or more, you're just scandalous. Add a broach for the full librarian look (or a flower like I did here) but wear jeans to keep it cool.
I know what you mean about not knowing what to write. I usually have a stock pile of outfit pictures, and I just put them up daily, but I can't remember what was going on the day of the pictures, and sometimes I just don't feel like I have anything useful to say other than "thanks for visiting" and "outfit details". Anyway, yours is a great outfit. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your cute librarian look...you just need a pair of glasses to top it off! Love the flower!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not sure that I'd qualify this as a librarian look, but I'd definitely consider it a perfect week-end outfit...really stylish, but being a fancier version of the jeans and T-shirt look, it doesn't take too much thought.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I love the idea of wearing a cardigan buttoned up as a top. I just thought of it a few weeks ago, and when I tried it out and realized that it worked, I was so proud of myself!! :P I also tried turning the cardigan over so that the buttons are in the back and really liked how it turned out (by that point, I thought I was a genius!! (not really) :P)
This is definitely going in my inspiration folder. Hope you're having a great week-end!!

I'm going to have to steal this look. It's perfectly cute for my "I get to wear jeans" to work Fridays. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely. The cardigan styled as a top really is brilliant...unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that all of my cardigans in rotation have deep v-necks and are meant for layering. Hmmm. Might be time to invest in a few more colors of cardis...

Love this. My mom's a librarian, & I doubt she's ever looked this chic. :)
ReplyDeletelove this. so cute!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought this cardigan was tweed! It's super cute though. I've always wanted to try a cardigan as a shirt, but realized my cardigans are all v-neck style and don't button high enough. I guess I'll just have to go get a new one {or two...}.
ReplyDeleteAlso love the pop of pink from the flats!
