Another black outfit! I bet you guys are ready to punch your computer screen now, huh.... Huh?!? I thought I did pretty good by adding color.... THREE colors to be exact. (Pat on the back for Elaine.) I liked this outfit though. I still get stuck trying to match my shoes to my belt so I was glad when I discovered my new color pairing of pink, silver, and white! Do you still try to match your shoes to your belt or is that sooo yesterday?
I never try to pair my shoes to my belt or my purse anymore. I want things to work tonally, like warm tones or cool tones, but not so much colour matching.
ReplyDeleteYou're outfit is pretty cute, like a hip electric Parisian.

I'm enjoying your run of black outfits ... I think black done right can be classic yet fun, like this look! The shoes and belt are perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteStyle bloggers like you have helped me become much less matchy-matchy with shoes and accessories. Although I have been trying to get away from my long-time monocromatic all black safety net ;P Thanks, Elaine!
ReplyDeleteI like this look, Elaine. Perfect! Imagine if you matched the belt and the shoes in the same colour.. it would be too matchy..and it's boring ;)
ReplyDeleteRarely matchy matchy for me. It just has to go...like Stacy and Clinton yell at people.

I don't think I've ever purposefully matched my belt to my shoes. It always felt like one of those rules like "no white after labor day!" I think I've broken that a few thousand times. Wait--wouldn't that mean I was a thousand?
ReplyDeleteThe pink belt makes this outfit so cute!

love that neon pop
ReplyDeleteI used to totally do that...but lately, I find myself avoiding it like the plague! I think the best way to do it is to wear neutrals or metallic either around your waist or on your feet so that the colors work together but aren't the same. Love that neon belt!

i love that little punch of pink e.
ReplyDeleteI never worry myself with matching too much. I think your shoes go perfectly well with your belt!
