Modest Mob tribal print blazer, $30; secondhand JCPenney button-up, $1 (similar); Target pink belt (similar); Levi's skinny jeans, $70; Target loafers, $25; thrifted bag, $3

Finally debuting my blazer from Diana!! I've had such a hard time figuring out what to wear it with.. It's such a fun print but I think I must have been so used to oversimplifying my looks lately that it was too much for me. Anyway, I did another black with pops of neon. I decided basics was the best way to break out this fun blazer but I still thought the print was too much. I must be regressing in terms of stepping out of my comfort zone.. What do you think?

  1. I love the blazer! I think because you kept the rest of the outfit fairly simple it isn't too much. Also, I have that bag and love how much junk I can get in it (probably not wise of me), and I thrifted it, although, I spent more than $3. I don't understand how an LA store is less expensive than a Nashville one!

  2. I think that blazer is gorgeous, and it looks great with that outfit but would look awesome with so many other combinations, too! xxx

  3. That's a great blazer. It's really 80s. Kind of Navajo. Kind of like a sweater print. Nicely styled!

  5. I've said this before, but I love that neon pink belt! I tried to look for one at f21, but they didn't have it! So sad. I might just have to get it at Gap

  8. Gah! Tell me about it.. I am carrying around so many receipts and trash that I am even afraid to look in it now.. I just dig around hoping I find my keys/cellphone/wallet.

And I actually got it in a thrift store up in Sacramento!

  17. Love this look.  See, that's why you are a fashion blogger; because you knew to put that pop of color in the outfit with the belt and shoes.  Little things add a lot to the outfit.

  22. I think the blazer looks great.  Maybe this is me, having grown up in the "matchy matchy" 80's, but I think it's the purse that doesn't match the blazer.  I'd use a black, gray, or colored purse instead of brown.
