thrifted top, $2 (similar); thrifted belt, $2 (similar); vintage skirt, $6; thrifted Nine West heels, $3 (similar)

What did I love most about wearing this outfit? Everything is thrifted! I love when that happens!!! (Remember my thrifting post?) Anyways, a coworker of mine called this my Lakers outfit. I didn't even realize! (What is a Lakers?) I was just going for color blocking. Is that still in? I don't even know anymore..

I managed to do my hair (kind of -- does a side braid count as "doing" your hair?) as well as my makeup. I bought the orange lipstick I mentioned in my last minute gift guide post because my family apparently didn't get the memo... And if you were wondering if I used a mirror to put on lipstick, I did -- that red thing was a healing cold sore. (Thank you, stress!)

  6. The LA Lakers, you're cute.  I'm loving red and bright lips right now, but how do you know what colors will work for you? I've gone to the drug store and sephora a few times and have chickened out on buying a lipstick each time because I'm not sure what will look good with my skin.  Does anyone have any tips/tricks to find shades that will work on certain skin shades??  Thanks ladies!

  10. You're adorbs!

Haha I was super sick last week (lengthened case of strep!) and I went to the doctor wearing yellow sweatpants and a purple sweater. And the nurse made fun of me for wearing Lakers colors. Made fun of me! In my time of need! Imagine!

  12. Good question... I don't know the color rules but I usually put the lipstick shade by my skin (arm) and see if it "matches" or not!

  24. This is one of my favorite color combos, even if I'm not a Lakers fan. I love that everything is thrifted! Also, the braid is super cute, and definitely counts as "doing your hair." Happy weekend!

  25. Love it! I wouldn't have thought about the Lakers connection when I was getting dressed either!  Last week, I wore a purple skirt and a green sweater. My coworker asked if I was celebrating Mardi Gras. Ugh - I hadn't even thought about it!

  27. I love this outfit, especially the price!  I think the thrifting has to be a million times better in Cali.  Here in Utah it is slim pickings...I never have any luck!
