What does everyone think about the floral-on-floral trend? I've been seeing it everywhere for Spring 2012 runway shows. For me the verdict is not out yet. I've seen it done a few different ways: jacket with blouse, blouse and pant, blouse and skirt, sweater over dress. I think I could get used to the trend if it's done right.
I love this trend, it's perfect for Spring, and it's so feminine!

ReplyDeleteHmm, I think unless you go all out with one pattern on both top and bottom, you have to be careful. I also wonder if this is a trend we'll look back on in a year and laugh!
ReplyDeleteI do love how florals and patterns are everywhere right now, so perhaps pairing a very muted floral on top with a pattern (cheetah print?) on bottom would work instead of floral on floral. I'll link up if I try it this week!

I think it really is an art getting this look right, If you choose prints too simular (in size, color, and style) it looks a little "gramdma-ish" or busy... But when done right, it add interest.

I am definitely a fan of a good feminine floral, however floral on floral is a trend that I don't think I would ever be brave enough to pull off. Is it just with larger floral prints? I wonder if it would look better if the prints were smaller and a bit more subtle.
