scarf, gift with purchase (similar); Gap dress I cut into a shirt, $8 (similar); pants via sample sale, $1 (similar); thrifted Forever 21 sandals, $8 (similar)
Wore this on Superbowl Sunday a couple weeks ago to a friend's house. Lounging around and eating all day meant comfy, casual clothes so my pajama pants it was! This was sooo comfy. Loved wearing this even if it makes my legs appear shorter than they really are which I didn't think was possible.

And look who else it is!! Melissa!!!! Watch for her outfit details soon! (And now you can all see how short-legged and big-butted I really am and how tall and lean Melissa is but we all already knew that.)
Elaine! I love the way you keep restyling these super comfy looking pants! I have a pair of printed pants that I want to rework the way you have yours, here have a look: http://natashafatah.blogspot.com/2011/11/miss-fancy-pants-and-event-announcement.html
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think? Roll em too?

oh ma gah, shut up Elaine you look hot. and thin. and hot.
ReplyDeleteYou look insanely comfortable and cute! I am starting to become a thrifting maven such as yourself! I was always like, "What.. $2?! $1?!" And now, I understand! Hunting for those gems is way more satisfying, especially when you get the good stuff!

You do look comfortable. You can't watch the Superbowl in fitted clothes, because you need room to fit all the fun snacks.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your sandals???
ReplyDeleteOf course! That's what the game is all about.
ReplyDeleteThey're Forever 21 but I thrifted them at Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteGreat comfortable and stylish outfit. I love your scarf and both of your print-mixed outfits!
ReplyDeleteI love how you make a casual outfit still look so chic. Still yet to learn that secret ...

I am not LOOKING at your butt or anything but I think it's smaller than mine so there.
ReplyDeletei came back to apologize for telling you to shut up. please don't shut up. ever. i love your blog too much.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh will you quit about the big butt! you are that big-butted.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I meant to say that you aren't that big butted. sorry.
ReplyDeleteTall and lean is the current "it" body for the media/fashion world. That does not mean that's what beauty is. You are gorgeous just as you are....healthy should be what the media is after, not a specific body type that someone can only have based on genetics! (Sorry, this is one of those things that I can go on and on about sometimes....) But it's true. And you are thin, so don't think you're not. I have a tall, wide frame, and no amount of plastic surgery could change that. It took me a while to figure that out.
ReplyDeleteP.S. this is an awesome website by two women at the University of Utah who are doing their dissertations on how the media portrays women, and how it affects how we as individuals see ourselves.
