necklace via sample sale, $5; H&M men's shirt, $3; vintage skirt, $6; Target shoes, $25; vintage bag, $5

This outfit was inspired by one of Madewell's Spring 2012 looks. I loved the blue/purple monochrome with the pop of turquoise. Confession:  I loved this outfit so much I wore this twice in the same week! Am I going to a fashion blogger purgatory now?

P.S. Close-up of my face acne necklace that I raved about here. I know you were all dying to see it.

  6. I love this, the shoes are my favorite part! Plus, Madewell is ridiculously awesome so it's quite understandable to emulate them. Great look :)

  7. Love the outfit, especially the shoes (much better than the Madewell inspiration). And your face is gorgeous! Don't downplay your beauty.

Come check out FEST, a new blog about food, style, travel. I'm currently documenting my challenge to not buy any new clothes in 2012.

  9. Such a lovely peaceful outfit. I think blogger purgatory is for worse offenses...like forgetting to take the tags off a garment and wearing it multiple times. I've done that once.

  11. I am in love Madewell's new collection! I even checked their website to check the international delivery prices (usually they are quite high), but sadly that's not available :(
    PS: Love your new necklace.

  16. I have acne too. Let me know if you ever find something that works. I thought my face would be clear by the time I was 24, but no such luck.

    Are those shoes comfortable?

  17. I've tried going to the dermatologist and getting prescription topical meds but none of them worked for me so I'm done with derms.. I just tried ProActiv again and it's working miracles on my skin, especially their advanced blemish treatment! Hope that helps! Good luck. It's so frustrating..

Not so much.. They're definitely not walking shoes. :/

  21. I am 42 and it is still a bother at times. I love the Clarisonic. I do think it is helping a lot. Do not touch the face and it helps. I had a newscaster on t.v. Tell me this.
Loved the flare jeans and top!
