Shirt: thrifted, Gap, $6
Necklace: sample sale, $5
Skirt: vintage, $5
Shoes: Target, $25

Shoot. Wish I got a close-up of my new necklace. I don't normally buy jewelry because it's either cheap quality (I'm looking at you, Forever 21..) or out of my price range (JewelMint. Le sigh.). When my friends and I went to a sample sale last month, I saw this necklace for $5 and knew I had to snatch it up! It feels pretty sturdy and for $5? YES. Anyway, enough about my no-see necklace.. I went for color in this outfit. LOTS. I realized I usually go big or all black. And can someone PLEASE come over and iron my clothes?? Mom???

I LOVE this look! You are so good at seeing colors and which ones look good together, but still being creative!

Ha, ha ... I have the same issue with clothes. They look fine in the mirror but look so wrinkled in photos. Oh the shame!

I like this so much! And your hair looks SO good! It's probably way too easy too. That makes me jealous.

Love the outfit, Elaine!! Looks like you need a steamer. Way easier than an iron & works on all of your frail jersey stuff, too.

My mother-in-law bought me a steamer for Christmas this year & I'm in LOVE!! It just hangs out in our closet & I plug it in & use it on my clothes as I'm getting dressed in the morning. LOVE it.

I agree with Melissa...a steamer is soooo awesome! It has almost replaced ironing for me! It's especially nice when you're not sure if something can be ironed or not, or it's a weird, hard fabric to iron...steam away baby! Love the color combo!

Love this outfit! Super cute and colourful.

And I'm with Melissa—steamers are the bomb. That's what we used when I worked at Giant Retail Company: super fast and much easier than ironing. Just don't burn yourself on the steam. It's hot, and that hurts. (Duh.)

It is! And what! You have amazing hair too! I am jealous of YOUR hair!

I have a shirt like that, and jeans that pink color, and I've only worn them together once because I felt a little self-conscious.  You look great.  Guess I just need some courage. :)

You are so chic and gorgeous!  My daughter showed me your site once to "help" me figure out what to buy for her from now on, and every now and then, I can't resist coming over and taking a peek!

Thank you so much!! And your daughter has excellent taste. ;)

I love the combonation of the pink and different blues, it's very happy looking.  The shoes are crazy cute, one thing I really enjoy about your style is how at ease you are with pairing colors.

A great place for cheap jewelry?  Sears!  Ive found some great necklaces and braclets over there that have lasted for years, and they look nicer than claires or F21 jewelry.  (And yes, steamers-best thing ever!  I hate ironing and steamers are super fast.)

How about those sprays that you use instead of ironing? They can work really well! =)
