Shirt: H&M, $15
Necklace: sample sale, $5
Jeans: secondhand, Gap, $9
Shoes: Target, gift
Bag: thrifted, vintage, $5

Can you tell I'm obsessed with this necklace? When I love something, I can't stop wearing it. That's when I know my purchase was worthwhile. But it doesn't mean I don't love my one-timers! (One-timers:  items I've only worn once and probably won't wear again but can't part with.)

So I've worn this loose button-down with boyfriend jeans before and had to try it out with flared jeans this time. (Skinny jeans next!) Also, I like this shirt a lot better with the sleeves rolled up. Looks more relaxed.

Don't mind my acne....

Tried out a new hairstyle as well. Parted my hair to the side then French braided one side of my hair and then pulled it back in a low pony. I teased the pony to make it full and messy. When you pull your hair back into a pony, it helps to have your hair teased beforehand to have volume.

You look so much taller and leaner in these jeans! Love it. That's always the look I'm trying to attain since I'm only 5'3".

I really love this look, but I can't figure out why. Maybe because it looks comfy and chic all at once?

I'm wearing almost the same thing today, except my flares and button down are both black lol Stylish minds think alike? ;)

I like how simple this outfit is! I feel like I'm too curvy for it, but I still love the concept of a white shirt thats clean and Dark Jeans!

Simple and fresh. Love the necklace! Also loving the flare jeans, but maybe that's because I just bought my first pair ... :)

Is it awkward that I comment on most of your posts with: you look gorg. or, something along those lines? bc you do!

I love this look!  I prefer the sleeves rolled too, and I love it with flares.  And your hair looks great.

Looks lovely! The necklace is perfect with your shirt, and those jeans make you look so tall! Have a happy weekend! xxx

While I love all the skinny silhouettes out right now, there's something to be said about a classic flare jean. I think you could wear this look anytime anywhere and still look great, which is amazing to me. Lovely!

Just recently found your blog and I love it! I've been trying to re-vamp my closet and I'm fiiiinally getting the courage to do it! I also love the fact that all my favorite clothing blogs are modest clothing blogs. I'm trying to convince my husband that I don't need all my jiggly bits hanging out in order to look good. Modest is hottest. ;)

You can't go wrong with this pairing!

Adorbz.  I really want to invest in the flares situation but I just can't get there yet.  Love it on other (read tiny) people but this Latina booty + short stubbiness I just don't think it'll fly.
Also Hoon hates it and I feel like I should probably keep the spark alive and wear things he digs...most of the time.  :)  This looks so boho chic!

we have the SAME style. it's really weird...but cool. loving the new hair style.

Elaine said...

Seriously, we must be twins! And spanx!

Elaine said...

I agree. I've been drawn to flares this season.

THIS is the sophisticated I'm talking about. basic and classic, but cute. One of my most favorite outfits you've posted on here...

Elaine said...

Yeah, those are far and few in between. Mostly because I can't play ping pong in those clunky heels.
