Last Saturday, we had to get out car tires tuned up. My hour commute everyday took a toll on our poor little car :(. After we dropped it off, we walked to the Rose Gardens. I haven't walked that much since the Philippines last summer. I'm such a wimp now! Thank you, desk job.

Bandeau Swimsuits

How adorable are these swimsuits?? I tend to stay away from strapless suits because I don't have enough boobage to keep them up. Both swimsuits come with a removable halter strap but I still think I'd need to tape my boobs up just to wear these. I love the artsyfartsy print on the Carmen Marc Valvo Twist Top Bandeau Swimsuit on the left ($64) and the ruffles on the La Blanca Ruffled One Piece on the right ($73)! What do you think? Are bandeau swimsuits something you'd wear?

I was recently introduced to a new fashion community website called Go Chic or Go Home. You can upload your outfit pictures, upload pictures of your clothes from your closet and then create outfits, shop, meet new fashion-forward friends, and easily participate in Kendi's 30x30!!

This is my FAVORITE feature on GCOGH and undoubtedly its strongest. You can upload pictures of your clothes and then create little outfits online. It's nice to see your clothes all laid out on one page instead of strewn all over the floor and your bed. ..Just me? I just wish GCOGH could scan my closet and automatically upload them as pictures onto their site...with an accompanying magic wand, of course. It would be a great way to plan your 30x30...and regular outfits too for all the fashion bloggers who like all their clothes too much to pick 30 favorites. (Me.) I've uploaded my favorite items in my closet right now but I still want to go back and do everything including my jewelry, scarves, and belts and just pump out 10 or so outfits for those days when my creative juices are drained! And let's face it.. it happens at the most inconvenient times...like when you're late to work...or you just want to get a taco from the taco truck down the street but it's already been a half hour and you still can't figure out what to wear! I hate those days.

Over Father's Day

Hope you all had a good Father's Day! My in-laws came for a visit. Rosie was NOT happy. She hid in the shoe closet all weekend. We went to the temple, saw Super 8 (eh), went shopping (where I got this shirt!) and tried and loved Nick's Cafe (an old, tiny, ghetto diner in the middle of nowhere, L.A. that is absolutely delish!!!).

The cutest tankinis on the block

Sooooo summer is coming up... The dreaded swimsuit-fitting.. It's when our dimpled arms and legs finally come out of hiding to make their appearance... Seriously, is there anything more depressing than trying on swimsuits? I can think of one. That one time I almost dropped my cupcake. I cried from the "almost." Speaking of cupcakes, don't you love how Lime Ricki mixes and matches the funnest prints and patterns? We all know stripes and florals are a champion for pattern-mixing but throw in plaid and my mind is officially boggled...almost like the game, but not. I've picked out a few that I wouldn't mind wearing if I had Michelle Obama arms and Carrie Underwood thighs. But I don't. Le sigh.

I'm sew domesticated.

Last weekend I went through my to-mend pile and did some sewing and stuff.....

1 First up was my striped skirt from this post. A few of you asked how my skirt was longer than the one on the Forever 21 website. The skirt comes with a fold-over waist band but I didn't fold mine so it would be longer on me. However, the size I usually get was still too short on me so I got the largest size they had and took the sides in. But then it makes that pucker in the front and a little in the back so I took it in again and now it's the perfect bodycon skirt! And only cost me $7 and a couple of hours!

Hello Beach!

Chase and I took advantage of the three-day weekend and we ate and slept like kings - if by kings you mean two poor married kids, then, yes...like kings. We also went to Malibu beach. You know...where Malibu Barbie lives. (I didn't see her but I did see a million girls trying to look like her.)

Did I mention it took us an hour and a half to get there? It took us an hour and a half to get there. I love being stuck in L.A. traffic on my day off...and not because I'm stuck in traffic every day I commute to work...but because it was my day off, it was extra special. (Barf.)
