But it's Monday

I totally have the case of the Monday blues right now...might be those three bowls of Reese's Puffs I had for dinner. And my right eyelid has been droopy all day. You can't really tell in these pictures because I am looking away from the camera. (Perhaps on purpose. You'll never know.) The funny thing is Chase didn't even notice it when I got home. That's how small and beady my Asian eyes are. Just kidding. It's only when I smile ...and he makes me smile...a lot.

Got this ModCloth chainletter dress in the mail last night from Sydney. It's been going around the fashion blogosphere from Starr to Rosie to Beatrice to Maria to Quincy to Dalena Vintage to Annie to Tania to Sydney and now to MEMEME!!!! Bananas

Today I went to a Banana conference. What's a banana? Bananas are yellow on the outside...white on the inside. Asians are yellow...whites are..white. If you still don't get it, you don't have enough Asian friends...and I'm not Asian enough to be your friend. This conference was for Asian-American bloggers. I won a pass to it from KoreAm. Woot woot. (I don't say woot woot in real life. I shouldn't have even typed that but it's almost 11PM and my guard is down.)

One of those days

So I had a whole different outfit planned - like a skirt and everything - but settled on a simple top and jeans...specifically, the predictable outfit I mentioned here. I like it. It's me. I like simple and classic looks that aren't complicated. But sometimes I feel like I have to do better than that as a fashion blogger, which is fine because it gets me to think outside the box. $25 Smashion Giveaway (CLOSED)

Have you guys heard of Smashion? It's basically a huge online consignment store where you can sell your clothes and other people can buy them. It's like eBay but better...and not at all like eBay. The best part about selling your clothes there is there are no fees!! I'm all over this. You guys know I've been selling my clothes through my blog but I think this would be a more effective way to do that. Plus, you don't have to feel guilty if you drop some money there because it's secondhand and, therefore, you're helping the Earth. You're like Superman. or Batman. or you just want some new clothes without hurting your wallet. Whatevs... It's all the same, right??

Why is it so cold

Face Stuff Update

A few months ago, I shared what chemicals I put on my face every day. Then a couple weeks after that, my mom saw all the "horrible American stuff" I was using and made me throw it all out and bought me a $150 Korean facial care set. A couple months pass and I find out I'm allergic to it. I haven't done any research in a while because I had confidence that the old Korean lady with heavy makeup and Lady GaGa eyelashes behind the makeup counter knew what she was talking about. She was also speaking in Korean really fast and I could only make out "use this at night" and "use this in the morning." And I said okay. Now my face looks all hormoned-up like I've been beaten with the adolescent stick again. I'm 23! and Asian! I should have clear, beautiful, white skin! Instead, I have dry patches, fire red pimples, and rashes all over my face.

I did some research online and rediscovered Paula's Choice. I had read her book The Original Beauty Bible a couple of years before and it was long and boring but had necessary information. I just bought the skin balancing cleanser and the extra strength acne fighting treatment and made another order for the sheer matte tint, their moisture-infusing lotion, and their serum.

It's no secret...

I love to eat food. I love trying new and different things as long as my meal isn't moving. But the one thing I can't eat is oatmeal because it's gross. I hate its texture, smell, everything. My only logic is Koreans don't eat oatmeal and I am Korean. (I'm actually not that Korean.)

Should Have

This is the first time I didn't plan an outfit for work. I just threw this on and ran out the door. NOT. I stared at my closet for a half an hour instead. I didn't want to wear jeans (fat-legs day) but I didn't want to wear a skirt either (I haven't shaved my legs in n days.) So I settled for black and white with pops of color. Now that I look at it, I should have nixed the scarf and blazer and worn my motorcycle jacket instead.

Christmas Legs

This is what I wore when I tried to start my car this morning and it didn't. This is what I wore while I was sitting in the car trying to figure out how I'm going to get to work today. This is what I wore when I called my boss to tell her I couldn't come in today. This was what I wore when I realized today was also street cleaning day and we'll probably get a ticket because we can't move our car.

A Story...of some sort

I just started taking pictures on our rooftop when Chase goes to school early because our apartment has bad lighting in the morning and the fire escape is overrated now and everyone hates my hallway. There are also apartments that look into the rooftop area on the left and right that you can't see but I'm just telling you for the sake of my story.

I'll just stand here and smile. I hope the neighbors aren't creepy and watching me take pictures of myself.
