Shirt: thrifted, $1.50
Skirt: Forever 21, $6
Undershirt: c/o ModBod
Shoes: JCPenney, free
I thrifted this polka-dot shirt over Thanksgiving weekend. I've been looking out for one ever since I saw Diana wearing one from Modest Mob. It is sheer so I wore a black shirt from modbod underneath.
They sent me a couple items after I revealed my true colors about Utah undershirts. Oh, BOY, was I wrong about modbod... Their shirts are AMAZING. I owned a couple from DownEast Basics before and they pretty much pale in comparison to modbod's. They have the perfect amount of stretch, they're long, and they are thin enough to wear under your clothes comfortably. Be aware that these are supposed to be worn underneath your clothes so get your regular size if you want to wear it snug underneath or go a size up to wear as a regular top. So modbod please accept my virtual apology because your undershirts are BOMB. I'm never going back to DownEast undershirts!!!!
......and, yes, all the modest undershirts defenders can lay your wrath on me. But only if you're wearing modbod. I will accept none else.
P.S. Still on my all-black kick if you didn't notice.
P.P.S. Shame on you if you didn't.
P.P.P.S. Just kidding.
P.P.P.P.S. A little.

adorable. loving the polka dot top buttoned all the way to the top. hot!
It is not modest. I can see the shape of your hips! and shows knees... when you sit down your thighs will appear as the skirt goes up. this kind of skirt is very sexy, not a bit modest!
Great blouse. Those modbod tees look awesome!
Love this outfit, you look amazing! The shirt wa a great find.

Love this outfit, Elaine! I am obsessed with polka dots, and that shirt is totally adorable...I like the idea of wearing a tee underneath, rather than a camisole (which is what I usually do). So cute!
super cute! hope you had a happy holiday :)
xx
Well, I somehow ran across your blog and i think it is just ADORABLE!! I'm LDS too and its frustrating how nothing is modest AND cute! I'm so going to start reading it . Feel free to check out my blog :)

oh jeez, love the shoes.
Just got up the nerve to wear heels though my husband is 4 inches shorter than me, and it's freeing, really.
I couldn't believe it either! :D Gotta love half off days at the thrift store..
GO YOU!
Thank you! I am re-realizing that now. Sometimes the best outfits are the most simple ones.
I did, thank you! Hope you did too!!
I love this simple ensemble too, especially that sheer blouse! Happy New Year, Elaine! :)
another day to wander
absolutely love the blouse!!! so jealous :)
wait, didn't you perm your hair or something? or threaten to cut it? Or is this photo from a few weeks ago??
Loving the black/white.
I love this outfit! And I love your blogs new look!
So happy you finally saw the light! ;-) Thanks for loving our shirts as much as we do!
Yeah, it's an oldie. It wasn't a perm as it was more a body wave. You'll see sooooon!!
Thank you! Thank you!
Lovely! You look wonderful, such an elegant silhouette. And your hair is lovely. You look so classy. Awesome!
Recently I got a couple modbod tees and was pleasantly surprised! Their nude tee is practically a perfect match with my skin tone and I'm loving their newer line which has thinner, less bulky fabrics. Great for layering.
