thrifted sequin sweater ($5), cream 5" flower (c/o Hot Magnets), J Brand jeans ($158), JCPenney pumps (free)

I happened upon this sequin sweater by CHANCE a few weeks ago. CHANCE = FATE. It has to be. Why else would I have grabbed a baby girl's polka-dot pants with a matching belt and then see a sequin sweater under it? (P.S. I'm still not pregnant. I was just hoping those little girl pants would fit me. Not quite.) And I can't get enough of this flower pin. It's so much easier to use a magnet than trying not to stick a needle in me, which is pretty impossible. I wanted the sequins to talk for themselves because they are pretty chatty, let's admit it, so I went with a classic color scheme of cream, black, and red.

I'm not usually a big fan of sequins but I actually quite like this shirt! They're really subtle. I like the flower you've been wearing lately! It makes classic pieces look a lot more feminine!

ok, your hair looks amazing here!  do you have a volumizing product that you like to use?  could you maybe do a post on how you style your hair when you wear it straight?

Elaine said...

No volumizing product! Just plain hair spray. And I honestly don't style it when it's straight. I've been trying to grow my hair out without damaging it because I used to straighten it and/or use the flat iron too much so I just let it be.. Sorry I'm not much help :(. Here is an old post where I shared my (then) favorite hair styles though! And here's a post on how to keep your hair healthy.

Hahah, me too!!

You're right, it does!

That's what it reminded me of too!!

This look is simple, classic and SO beautiful! I wish I could make a pair of jeans and a tee look this good! :) What I'm probably most jealous of are your jeans...I love the fit, and the above-ankle length too! I've been loving this style of pants lately but as a short girl, I'm not having much luck finding the right pair. These jeans are perfect though!! :D
