Outfit To Forget Not

Tuesday, October 04, 2011
I wore this to the Relief Society General Meeting (when the women of the Mormon church worldwide congregate to listen to our church leaders). I know it was a bit ago but it really stuck out to me WHEN I wore this outfit because the EVENT was so important. At this broadcast, President Uchtdorf's talk touched me the most. It felt like he was talking directly at ME! But back to the clothes... Does that ever happen to you? You remember exactly what you wore because of that day regardless if your outfit was special in any particular way?

I'm wearing a Gap dress I cut into a top ($8), JCPenney necklace (free), handmade skirt from a thrifted IKEA curtain ($2), Target clog sandals (gift), and vintage bag ($6).

BTW if you're thinking this outfit looks a lot like this, you are sooooooooooooo.......right...minus the bangs, tights, and switcheroo of the top. Consider this the summer version and the other for fall!

This is how I usually look:  confused..and possibly a little constipated/angry at the sun.

  4. You look beautiful in these photos.
I have a few outfits that I've remembered through the years as well. They are still 'what I wore on that first date'. Or 'first day of work' outfits.

  12. I can always remember what I wore on days when something special happened. And I happen to think this is one worth remembering. I love that necklace with the contrasting pattern of the skirt!
