Some days you just don't want to put too much thought into your outfits....or every day if you're me. For this outfit I went with blues and tan accessories. Then it looked boring so I added a flower. Liz and I are bringing it back. (Was it ever gone? I think not.) What do you add to your outfits when it's lacking that something?

Also, I played ping pong in these shoes...like I dove and stuff. I just thought you should know these shoes were made for hardcore sports like ping pong.

| This is the DIVA within me. I didn't want to post this picture up but Diana insisted. This is just for you, D!! |
I'm wearing a 5" cream flower (c/o Hot Magnets), thrifted Gap shirt ($6), thrifted belt ($1), thrifted skirt ($3), and Seychelles mary-janes ($15).

love this outfit, and love the last picture :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the outfit... skirt is amazing, and the flower just tops it off. Have a great Friday!

The flower definitely adds that extra special something, but you can't go wrong with a denim shirt and full skirt! I always put on a statement necklace and pile on the arm candy if I feel I'm missing something...!
ReplyDeleteBTW I'm having a Sandy Mitchell bracelet giveaway I think would look fabulous on you! http://notdressedaslamb.blogspot.com/2011/10/giveaway-sandy-mitchell-jewellery.html Catherine x
Love this outfit. It's about time the flower pin got re-recognized. And I believe it about the ping-pong in Seychelles. I could probably run a marathon in mine.
ReplyDeleteI love this, and flowers are wonderful.

I think I need a huge flower now. Sometimes I add a belt or get a flashier handbag, but my actual outfit would still be kinda blah.
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt!!! :D And hahaha, I love your diva photo ;)

Thank you for living in a warm climate. All fashion bloggers are prancing about enjoying their fall layers, and today's high in my area was 88. Also, I wore something like this the other day...a button-up and a knee-length flowy skirt is so feminine and unfussy!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your skirt! Looking good!
ReplyDeleteLove the last pic hun you look great. =)
ReplyDeleteI just love how big that flower is!! :) Super cute! x
ReplyDeleteLove the pin!

Flowers are my go-to for blah outfits. They make it seem like you actually put effort into your outfit on those eight-minutes-to-get-ready days.
ReplyDeleteLoving the skirt, a great look.

ReplyDeleteHaha, Thanks Sarah-Anne!! I thought so too :)

ReplyDeleteI know! I had to get the biggest one they had.. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm living in L.A. with summer all year round! I can't even imagine what it's like to be wearing layers upon layers!!
ReplyDeleteThey're SO comfy!
ReplyDeleteI love the flower, it's definitely the prettiest way to add some interest to a simple outfit. I have been researching how to make ones from scratch (with the fabric scraps that I have) for a few months already, but never got around to actually making any. This might just be the motivation I need!! :D
ReplyDeletePS: the "awkward and unsure" picture is actually my favourite of the bunch! I wish I looked that good when I'm in that state :P
Absolutely love the combination.
