H&M shirt ($10), JCPenney necklace (free), vintage skirt ($5), Target clog sandals (gift)
Aaaaand my thrifting luck ensues -- check out this skirt!! I honestly couldn't believe my luck when I found it. It's missing a button on the bottom but you can't really tell unless you're staring at my feet....creep. It's not the best quality, like the skirt feels cheap and the buttons are plastic but for $5 (and not dry clean only) I can't complain...except for the snap button at the waist that keeps getting undone every time I eat. With all these tiny vintage skirts I take home with me, is this a sign from the universe that I'm not allowed to eat ever again?!? Blasphemy.
I chose a simple all-white(-ish) look...which is usually a no-no because it reminds me of weddings. Anybody else? Just me?
so ethereal! Love the look, you are thrifting blessed.
ReplyDeleteI love that the only colour is your necklace. I'd love to try out the maxi trend, but I never seem to find the right skirt (read: one that doesn't make me look matronly)
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This look is perfect. What a great thrift find!
ReplyDeleteAnd I know what you mean about vintage sizes. I run an online vintage shop and I'm always finding cute stuff that I want to keep for myself but it's just too small, haha.
ReplyDeleteFor 5$, even if you only wear it once for 30 minutes, its totally worth it!!! And so cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable skirt, Elaine! I LOVE it! Can I have it? :) (joking)
ReplyDeleteI personally like the all white, but would pair it with a pop of color in the form of a belt, I have a wide red one I love.

Very cute! Luv the necklace!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a KILLER thrift find. I am a little jealous. And the necklace and shoe styling keep it far from wedding- it's an adorable outfit!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute skirt, love it! x
ReplyDeleteYou look like you are 10 feet tall in these pics! It's awesome! And I love the necklace!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! The all white looks so clean and airy. So good!
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel better it's not all white, but white and cream! ;) You look great.

All white can definitely veer into bridal territory but I think you're safe with this outfit. Its very simple chic.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, I wore all wight today too.. with the exception of a red scarf!
ReplyDeleteHahahahah that's my new favorite word
ReplyDeleteIt does! It does! It does!
ReplyDeleteSarah, this outfit totally reminded me of you. I should've given you props in the post!! Sorry1

Love the all white! Weddings are so happy, so even if that's the reminder, that's a pretty happy reminder. Way to make all white look so amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe all white outfit looks great on you Elaine, your a vision, honestly and I just had to comment!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! And you look SUPER tall!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that the loss of the bottom button is totally worth the pretty and clean look of the all white here. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful skirt!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you look bridal - just very chic :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skirt and you look great!
ReplyDeletei love your necklace, this is pure white outlook..waiting fr your look all in black :) nice to know you
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, this looks great on you. You look so tall! I really like the pop of colour from the necklace. All white doesn't really make me think wedding unless it's a wedding-like dress in the first place. This just feels cool and crisp and clean and elegant.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is really elegant actually. The skirt is a great piece I think you'll be able to wear it with loads of things.
ReplyDeleteI love this look but especially that skirt! I WANT IT! but oh wait, nyc + white clothes = gross. Sigh.
