Check it out... NEW photo locale!! Better get used to it because it's right outside our apartment building and will be my new go-to! No more cockroach-infested dimly-lit hallways. Sad face.

I've had this belt-shorts combo in my mind for a while and finally decided to implement it. Let me just say it looked a lot better in my mind. And the camera does not lie. But is it okay if I still love it? ..even though it makes me look boxy and makes my butt look bigger and legs look shorter? Because I wore it twice anyway. Do you have any outfits that don't look good on you but you still love it and wore it five days in a row?

And now for more pictures of MEMEME...because we all want to see more boxiness, big-butt-ness, and shorter-leg-ness.

I'm wearing H&M sunnies ($1), H&M shirt ($10), sash belt from my Anthropologie pants, thrifted rainboots ($10), and vintage bag ($15).
It's cute! Kind of horse jockey-ish but not in a bad way. Love the bag!
ReplyDeleteNah, you are being too hard on yourself! Its an outfit thats meant to look this way, and you still look cute and stylish. Not to mention it looks super comfy. I wear leggings a lot, especially if im tired, i can wear them over and over again!
ReplyDeleteYour outfit looks comfy, but yet oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteWell, you still look darling! I know exactly what you're talking about though. Sometimes I'll envision a look in my head, but as soon as I see what it actually looks like on my body, I realize it wasn't so brilliant. This is cute though!

I still think this looks great! I'd wear this on any summer rainy day. It's way too hot to wear pants but you still need rainboots!
ReplyDeleteLove that bag!!! So cute for a rainy day! xo Jenn

If you love it, rock it. Those rain boots are cool. I wish there had been some puddles for jumping!
ReplyDeleteCute.
ReplyDeletetotally. i'm known for loving a dress or even a whole outfit even though it might be just a TAD too big.
ReplyDeleteok. a LOT too big...but hey! i'm with the commenter before me: if you love it, rock it! :)

Actually, I love the bow on the shorts! I think heels would make it look less boxy even though those boots are awesome!!!! You always look gorgeous!

Sometimes just "feeling it" and being comfortable makes the best outfit of all! I love a good loose top - makes me look preggers and HUGE, but I just dig them!
ReplyDeleteYour new locale is great! I still like your outfit. Maybe not as good as your others.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest thing is that I need to feel comfortable so I tend to pick out outfits that are a bit looser. Maybe that isn't high fashion but it works for me!
Your bag is gorgeous! It's exactly what I'm looking for but haven't found. My outfit today totally didn't translate the same in the photos, which is always a buzzkill. I love your shorts, and those boots are awesome!
ReplyDeletei actually kind of like it! i wonder though... do you have any lighter colored boots? i'm thinking that you could wear the exact same outfit with either a darker shirt or lighter boots so as to draw less attention to the bottom half, but still look totally sweet in the ensemble. i really appreciate that you wore that outfit even though you thought it didn't look the best on you.
ReplyDeleteIts actually cute! I like it :)
ReplyDeletei ABSOLUTELY love your blog!!! i am happily following you darling! <3 hope to see you follow back or just say hello! have an amazing week!

I think you look great, but it's funny that you ask about outfits that aren't flattering but you wear them anyway. I wore a swingy style top today that made me look huge- but it was cute and comfy and I wore it anyway. Oh well...

These boots are super cute! I also own some VERY comfortable REALLY unflattering shorts that I wear all the time. But this outfit.... this outfit is adorable.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, I have tons of outfits like that. I have one pair of pants that I feel great in but, after seeing them in photos, I realize they are huge on me. I still don't care. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks great in pictures! Love the bow for a feminine touch, totally rocked the boots!

love the rainboots with this outfit - and esp. the big belted bow. cute!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the stachel, and the bow tied in the belt loops of your shorts. Fabulous! xox
ReplyDeletei have the same problem with my outfits all the time... It looked better in my head. The good thing is that we are our own worst critics & everybody else is much more forgiving. The bow-belt is gorgeous, btw! It looks really soft.
ReplyDeleteYou Looks Stunning in this wonderful outfit!! Especially Color Combination Rocks Big Time!! You Dress sensibly with unique and refreshing creativity, the star of the show is your big black boots!!
ReplyDeletei love the pants! really cute
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely I do...on those days I just post about food. :) I like this look and more importantly if you love it then who cares what anyone else thinks.
ReplyDeleteYou're silly :P I wish the street in front of my apartment looked this nice. Instead there's a giant pile of recycling most of the time, and vaguely smells of fish XD
ReplyDeleteI think you look amazing! Pretty boots. x hivenn
ReplyDeleteI think with a change of shoes this would look as good as you imagined it in your head. Ballerina flats? Ankle boots? Simple and cute, though!
ReplyDeleteHonestly I do love this complete outfit....
ReplyDeleteI don't think this looks bad - but i totally get how something looks gorgeous in your head and then you take the picture and just say "what was i thinkinG?!
ReplyDeleteLove this! It's cute and dorky.

Okay I LOVE the bow on these shorts but I feel you, I have a similar pair of cargo shorts that do absolutely nothing for my body but I wear them to death b/c...I dunno, they're comfy. Maybe I should quit buying things from the Target little boys section??
ReplyDeleteNoooo, don't!
ReplyDelete"boxiness, big-butt-ness, and shorter-leg-ness" . . . .?
ReplyDeleteThat outfit totally plays up your lovely, long, slender torso. :o) And I love the bow!
You're TOO nice!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what your looking at bu I think this look is seriously adorable!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBig butt? WHERE?! You look great! I'm shorter than you and know what it truly is to have butt and belly 'enhancing' shorts...
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute outfit. I like the mismatch with the shorts and boots.
ReplyDeleteI posted my collection btw. :)
Mmmm, food...
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't! I have black and dark brown.
ReplyDeleteI love loose clothes too! Better when you're eating :D
ReplyDeleteHahah, me too!
