Pattern Play by Kari

Tuesday, September 13, 2011
Sooo...apparently I'm not very good at blogging when Elaine isn't taking pictures of me.  Seriously, I missed 2 weeks of church (where we have our usual photo shoots) and I haven't had a blog post in probably that time! Oops!  My excuse is it's because my hubby and I have been busy with some big news  (No, I'm not prego, not that kind of busy!).  WE ARE MOVING TO NEW YORK CITY!!  Yup.  For realsies.  He went there a few weeks ago and had some interviews and one of them came through.  We feel super lucky and blessed because it's all come together at the last minute and yet at the perfect time.  SO I will be continuing my portion of this blog from NYC in the next month or so.  Very exciting stuff...now I just need to find a job and we need a place to live.  Minor details.

Anyway, enough about me, onto the fashion.  I mixed up patterns and colors on this outfit and it was kinda fun.  I love this happy print on this dress.

I mixed up the patterns by wearing these turquoise wedges that have their own little pattern on the side.  I really like the color of the shoes with the dress.  I also got even crazier wearing my brand nuevo leopard watch that my husby got me for our anniversary.  He totally surprised me and it was awesome!!  Have you noticed that I'm pretty much always wearing a watch?  I just really love watches.  I'll share my little collection sometime if you like.

Toe tap + hand in the hair.  Learned that from Elaine.   Still coming along with those poses.  Now if only I could get the serious fashion blogger look down.  I just looked pissed off when I don't smile.  Seriously, like its kind of scary.  Maybe New York will teach me.  I'm wearing a colorful Anthropologie dress, turquoise Lela Rose for Payless wedges, gold necklace from Gilt warehouse sale, Gold leopard Timex watch.
