You'd think I was going to church or had an important business meeting the day I wore this but, no.. I needed an outfit pick-me-up after wearing sloppy clothes all week! (No pics of them. You're welcome. Although feel free to browse my Facebook album of "Outfits that'll never be blogged just because" just don't laugh. Okay, fine. You can.)

So if you didn't notice, I have two flowers now! (But, really, you guys should notice these things especially since my husband doesn't.) I decided to take the flower-on-your-skirt-waistband thing to a-whole-nother level with TWO flowers on your skirt waistband!! Told you things were gonna get flower-crazy!!!

Also, I did my hair...which is a big deal because lately I've decided 5 minutes of extra sleep were more important than me doing my hair in any way, shape, or form. So I had to get my husband to take a picture of it so I can remember this day forever and ever.

| Now I'll walk towards you all creepily and sultry but more creepy. |
I'm wearing an Old Navy cardigan ($17), cream 5" flower (c/o Hot Magnets), pink flower (giveaway win from Wanderlustings), vintage skirt ($6), JCPenney pumps (free), and vintage bag ($15).

You look so pretty! I love the color of that skirt and it looks amazing on you.
ReplyDeleteelaine, that skirt is beautiful! and i love the pattern to it.
ReplyDeleteSooo perdy! I love that sweater! :)

Love this ensemble!!! And you DID take the flower-on-your-skirt-waistband thing to the next level.
ReplyDeleteSome many things about this outfit are ADORABLE Elaine! You know I'm a sucker for flower pins so the double whammy of pins is superb! But I think I'm a little more obsessed with the lovely mint green color of your skirt. Sa-woon.
ReplyDeleteLiz, I knew you'd like it.. Haha! I totally thought this was a Liz outfit!! We're flower twins 4 lyfe!!!
ReplyDeleteHehe...I like your creepy walk! Lol I love the TWO flowers! So ladylike! Really adds even more interest to an already incredible outfit!!!!! Love it!!!!!!!

P.s. Your hair is pretty! Worth the effort right? ;)
love those colors together, and the flowers are great.
ReplyDeleteLOL you crack me up. Your hair looks lovely (but it always does). I love the double flower power you have going on here!
ReplyDeleteThat look would be great for a meeting. Add a smile and no one could say no to you. ABout the "never be blogged" collection, there are some really nice shots in there--and one or two that look like you snapped pictures of someone else. =)
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! I love the 2 giant flowers!
ReplyDeleteHaha I love how doing your hair is a big deal cause my co-worker and I joke around all the time that it's a good day when we wash it before going to work. :)
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I wish I was as daring as you when it comes to wearing things that are "crazy". Of course the more I read your blog, the more I want to dress a little eccentric.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great outfits! And btw, the outfits I looked at on Facebook were nothing! Those aren't sloppy! You should see MY sloppy outfits! :) GRINNatasha

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites Elaine! The two flowers are so strikingly beautiful!! I love all of these pieces on their own but together there are really a special ensemble. Don't worry, my husband doesn't remember anything I wear either :P
ReplyDeleteI cannot get enough of the pale, minty-green colour of this skirt! Very refreshing, especially now that fall is approaching....I don't know how you do it! In my opinion, this could easily pass for a high-fashion look, and yet you spent considerably less on all these pieces....that is talent! :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty & elegant!!

ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so beautiful! I totally have those days too. Which is why on a day i was going to be unpacking boxes in my classroom...I wore a mini dress with long sleeve. Practical? Nope. But I felt fabulous ;)

Very pretty! Now all you need to be in a period movie (30's or 40's?) is a hat. :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're going "flower crazy" was an excellent idea, it looks great! And that bag...I still covet your bag!! Thank you very much for the prayers regarding my town and the aftermath of the flood, they are much appreciated! :) xo
ReplyDeleteYou have just given me a great idea. I'm going to button up tomorrow's cardigan and tuck it in!
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong to describe that outfit as "refreshing" or even "soothing"? Just lovely. Very elegant and classy. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI really love this outfit! It's a great idea to fix up jus because you want to :-) I do it all the time! In fact, I feel way more comfortable in nice clothes than I do in sloppy ones! <3

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! You look so gorgeous. :) I love how you are all covered up, yet look totally chic and a little sexy. :) Super adorable! Definitely following. It's nice for a teenage girl like me to see that you don't have to show everything off to be gorgeous. :)
