A Bit Nerdy

Friday, September 09, 2011
Whenever I wear my elastic waistband skirt, I like to pretend I'm Tania. She's the queen of the covered elastic waistband skirt tutorial and her outfits are always simple with a top, belted skirt, and cute shoes that I can't help but think of her when I wear this simple ensemble. What sort of outfits remind you of certain bloggers?

P.S. You can't tell here but my bun was off-centered all day. I hate when that happens!!!! My center of gravity is always off whenever I looked in the mirror. Threw me off all day!!!

I'm wearing a JCPenney shirt (free), thrifted belt ($1), handmade skirt ($2), Seychelles maryjanes ($15), and vintage bag ($15).

  1. Oh yes, when I wear crazy pants I always think of Blue Collar Catwalk. Always!

You look perfectly autumnal. My stupid bun kept falling out today in math class, drove me nuts.

  5. I really enjoy the way your write. It added such a personal touch to mention your off centered bun. Very refreshing posts.

As usual you keep it modest and stylish and I appreciate that!

  6. that is definitely Tania! the plaid shirt is not really LA (though I have probably seen a TMZ picture of some Brittany type in one at some time) and she ties her belts like that too! this is like a new game: fashion blog impersonations.

  7. I'm loving this plaid shirt! your bun looks totally on the right place to me, but I hate it when  mine looks off center, my head tends to go to that side ha ha, hope you have a great weekend!

  8. Ha, ha ... I know what you mean re: hair being off centre. It's like the world turns on it's axis & I find myself not being able to concentrate!

  17. Awww I love your skirt! And thanks for the link to the tutorial. It looks so easy...I like easy sewing! Whenever I'm at the fabric store I go to the Easy-Sew section of the pattern books :3

Also, I totally understand how awful it is when hair is lopsided. Ok, not awful! But it does throw you off everytime you catch your reflection ;)
