Again Wearing Purple

9/30/2011

Thank you for all your comments in yesterday's post!!! It was great to read all your nice words and suggestions. It means a lot to me!! Just wanted to clarify:  although I've already "found" my style, doesn't mean I'm going to stop blogging! I'm still here! There will just be a few more people joining me. I eventually want to turn this blog into a girl-to-girl website about finding your style/fashion within your values, whatever they may be. As for the community aspect, it's going to revolve around YOU guys and YOUR suggestions instead of just ME.

So onto the outfit.... I basically already wore this. Purple gingham shirt with a blue-purpley skirt? Done. Next? Oh, a purple gingham shirt with a blue-purpley skirt? I'm so original!!! But really, I just wanted an excuse to wear gingham again...and apparently to use the word "gingham" as many times as I can in this post. (Gingham.)

It's been a while since I've worn this sash-belt-skirt combo. It's so distinctive that I didn't want to overdo it. Obsessive much? Yes. Yes, I am. But if you have noticed a pattern, if I like something I will eat wear it until I don't anymore. So you'll be seeing this quite a few times on da blog. (And my skirt shrunk.. :(:(:(:( I'm never doing laundry again. That's a promise, Chase.)

I'm wearing a JCPenney necklace (free), thrifted Gap shirt ($6), sash belt from another pair of pants, skirt from Korea ($10), JCPenney heels (free), and vintage brown bag ($15).

Such a great outfit, I ADORE the skirt. I have the same personality, I wear or eat something I'm obsessed with until I'm completely sick of it.

Don't put your clothes in the dryer and they won't shrink. Plus you'll save some money too.

That skirt is awesome. I love it with the sash.

And I think that your goal for CM is awesome. I can totally get behind a community of people trying to find and expand on their style.

I have been looking for a skirt like that everywhere!!!! Honestly! It's so simple and yet SO hard to find! I ordered the Hive & Honey skirt, so thanks for the link! I hope it's going to work :)

Cute, cute, cute!  I'm just kidding, you look very pretty.  It's a nice outfit and the shoes are wonderful.  I kow everyone draws the line in a different place, but the hem is in the perfect place for my wife.  From there to about two inches lower is her comfort zone.

I hope Chase is good at sorting clothes. =)

I think having a blog really makes you ponder your own style and wardrobe so much more than not having to think about it as much as others do (in my opinion).

Anyway, I really love this look on you too, the detail of the sash and skirt is amazing!

Love your skirt! I have been experimenting with the pleated skirt but it never looks good on me whatever I do! I think I need to find an alternative and this gingham skrts looks like it might be it. Thank you for the outfit inspiration. I love coming to your blog and seeing how you re-invent different outfit ideas.
