Modest Fashionable Swimsuit Roundup

Wednesday, August 17, 2011
It’s almost that time of year again!! When the flabby arms and thighs come out of hiding to be unadorned and revealed to the whole world and then some. Oh, wait.. That’s just me. Well, it doesn’t mean I’m still not gonna try to look good! I’ve already checked out the usual places like Gap, Old Navy, Anthropologie (goodbye, bank account), and… really, is there anywhere else that sells decent one-piece bathing suits? I’ll answer my own question…YES! I’ve just discovered Lands’ End Canvas. I thought Lands’ End was for the older crowd…like my mom. It looks like the Canvas brand is targeted more towards the younger crowd…like me…and it totally worked because check out these suits!!! And they’re all less than $40. You’re welcome.

  5. What do you mean almost? I've been swimming in lakes and rivers since June! :p I'm actually a bit of a lunatic in that I wear a triangle bikini top. But then I chickened out and got one of those skirt-bottom type dealios. Triangles over my tattas is one thing. Running around in what appears to be underwear, another thing entirely. Skirted, thank you very much! The only reason I don't wear one pieces though is just because two piecers make things easier when it comes to loo-breaks and changing. I really like the pattern on that second one.

  7. This is so random but the 5. picture is the girl from the Arie commercials lol (i've been watching too much hulu) lol. I've always wanted a one piece since I stopped wearing then when I was younger I've never been able to fit into them. (They just don't fit the same way anymore :/

I have number six and it's great...although I wish there was a little more lining/padding something in the bust area.

  13. These are great! I'll definitely have to check out the Canvas clothing, I've recently seen a few cute bags from them. I have this Esther Williams suit and I looooove it - I'm not usually very comfortable wearing a bathing suit, but this one is amazing. The shape is crazy flattering and I don't feel like all my jiggly bits are on display for the world!
