(Un)flattering at Its Best

Wednesday, July 20, 2011
I thrifted this shirt a couple of weeks ago and finally got the thrift store smell out of them to wear it to church on Sunday. I may or may not have stolen this outfit gleaned inspiration from Rebecca.

In theory this outfit is unflattering -- the top balloons out and stops at my hips and horizontal stripes starting at my hips? Yeah, that's a recipe for disaster. But I love it...even if Chase didn't. Just call me a rule breaker! But you can call me Elaine. Any of you wear an outfit that shouldn't have worked but you wore it anyway and it was amazing on you and you felt like you just cured cancer and then you realized it was just an outfit and nothing compared to cancer and felt bad for the rest of the day? ...Me too.

I'm wearing a thrifted Forever 21 black shirt ($6), Anthropologie gold bib necklace (free), Forever 21 striped skirt ($7 - buy it!), and JCPenney berry heels (free) with a vintage brown bag ($15).
