Um, I totally wore this shirt two days in a row to work. I hope nobody noticed how gross I am... (Someone please tell me they've worn a shirt twice in a row... I can't be the only gross one out in the blogosphere. Or maybe I can...... This is getting awkward.) But I had to to recreate this GCOGH ensemble. I love the yellow, blue, and white together and can't believe I never thought of it before!! I thought I was smarter than this!

And I can't let you go about your day without your giveaway reminder... Peach ruffle cardi. Here. Go!

  1. i don't think wearign the same shirt 2 days in a row is gross, as long as you don't have any stains and/or smells ;)

  2. oh you look so pretty with your yellow pants! But I don't think it's a problem to wear a shirt twice but just if you didn't sweat haha :D

  3. Love the yellow pants !!!! It's a classic shirt, I'm shure nobody noticed !!!!

  4. It's OK, I've worn a shirt twice in a row before - but only three hours at a time. I really like the color combination, and while I'm not quite so adventurous enough for yellow pants, I'd love to replicate the look in spirit. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I've totally worn a shirt (multiple higher than 2) times in a row... not to work, because I like to "dress up" for work, but otherwise it's fair game. I'm going to guess that we are similar in not having major issues with sweat stains or BO? I definitely owe a lot of my laziness to low-maintenance Asian hair (both head and body).

  6. in love with this pairing!  those yellow jeans are seriously awesome!

and i'm sure nobody noticed that you wore the same thing twice in a row.  i think a white shirt is pretty easy to get away with.  :)

  8. I was recently introduced to your blog and love it. Both your clothing style and writing style are great! I was wondering where you do your thrift store shopping??? Hope you have a wonderful sunny day!

  9. You are not the only one, we've all done it--it's just that only the brave few can admit it!  I love the yellow, white and blue!

  10. I might have done that as well ;) Great colour combinations xo

  11. I may have done that...today in fact! I bought the shirt yesterday, wore it on date night, and then again to church this morning! Technically, both times I wore it were in a 24 hour period...so maybe it doesn't count?!

  12. Yep, I've done that, too. And I think there's nothing gross about it. If it's not dirty / smelly, where's the problem?

The colours of your jeans and shoes look great together!

  13. I'll wear a shirt again as long as it's not dirty or sweaty!

  14. I have worn almost the same outfit before, minus the shoes (though they are the same style)!  It was so funny seeing it today!  My shirt even had the ruffles on top!

  15. Looks amazing darling! Who cares if you wear the same shirt two days in a row!? You look fabulous and I bet you wouldn't wear it if it smelled. :) Love these colours together, you look beautiful. xxx

  16. I absolutely wear the same shirt two days in a row (especially on weekend when no one but boyfriend will ever know). These yellow jeans are fantastic!

  17. I just love your yellow jeans! And can I say that every time I've had my jeans tapered, they never come out looking as good as yours! And I paid for those services! Ridiculous.

  31. I love this outfit.  I think it is one of my new favorites and I will have to copy!  Of course, that also means I have to find a pair of yellow jeans, and a navy blazer, so probably not gonna happen.  And I wear my clothes way more than twice in a row!  It helps that I usually don't go to the same place twice, though if someone saw me the day before they'd probably recognize the outfit.

Okay Elaine, those jeans are the MOST awesome ever.  I mean, totally awesome.  LOVE this look.  C'est tres perfect!  And you've got nothing on me, I've been wearing the same 5 dresses for the last three weeks (ummm...I sort of "grew out" of everything).  ;-)

  33. loved your mustard denim! the colors in this combo is awesome :)

  34. You always look good.
    No fair.
As usual, very jealous of your yellow pants. Gimme!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I've done that before! :) As long as it doesn't smell you're good to go.

I also have a rule not to wear tops with distinctive prints 2 days in a row. People are more likely to notice that way...

    I have. Finals week anyone?

  37. I don't think wearing the same clothes two days in the row is wrong in anyway. Unless it is your underwear or you omitt an offensive smell (which I'm sure you don't!) then I can't see a problem.

    Anyhow, you look great!

  40. I usually re-wear things 2-3 times before washing 'em anyway, so as long as you don't stink, you're all good :p Love the pink shoes with the outfit.

  42. I've (been gross) worn the same shirt two days in a row.  I like to think that wearing clothes for multiple days without repelling people just means I'm a very clean person.

Those pumps are a fantastic addition to the color scheme -- simple chic done right.  I'm sure Dot would be proud.

  43. It's okay Elaine, I think a lot more of us than you think wear the same shirt/bottom to work two days in a row. Usually I try to be sneaky though and put 1-2 days in between so no one notices haha

    ReplyDelete
  44. I wear shirts two days in a row all the time. And don't even get me started on re-wearing jeans! If you ask me, it's only gross if it's visibly dirty or smells bad :)

  45. super hot look! i love it... ps i repeat clothes all the time. dont tell anybody, though :)

  50. Ha! I do that all the time! Wearing the same shirt 2 days in a row, that is. Usually it happens on a Friday and Saturday or a Sunday and Monday so the people at work don't know about it though.
