I'm wearing a Target green tunic ($16 - buy it!), Gap gray shorts ($11), vintage black belt ($5), Fitzwell black flats ($75 - buy it!), Forever 21 gold bracelet ($6 - buy it!), and a thrifted pearl bracelet ($4) with a vintage Gucci bucket bag ($3).
This past Friday was my first time wearing shorts in a long time. Just kidding. I wore them like last weekend. I'm breaking all my mom-shorts rules by wearing a loose shirt on top. Well, I say pish posh to the rules! Break 'em! And then link up here!
Also, wearing bracelets when you have an office job is the worst idea in the history of ever. Exhibit A. There's no Exhibit B but here's the cutest picture of a goose wearing sandals.
Great summer outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteThat belt is such the perfect touch! cute cute outfit. you always look SO chi in casual outfits.
ReplyDeletecute! I love longer shorts but have been having a hard time styling them :)

Bracelets ARE annoying! So are watches. And sometimes rings. Hehe. Bermuda shorts are definitely the way to go to wear shorts to work :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love those shorts, loose top really makes the whole outfit great and comfy, love that necklace so much! Wish shorts were office friendly!

Bracelets at work -- they always end up coming off midday for me. I love your ergo mouse by the way!
ReplyDeleteLove the shorts, I think that works well for the office. Some offices anyway. I would add heels. I love heels with mom shorts.
Cute! I like how the belt has a gold chain! Doesnt it feel good to wear shorts again?
ReplyDeleteI wear shorts to work but I dont think they look as good.
ReplyDeleteAdorable, elaine!! I'm with you on the bracelets. They are definitely the most inconvenient jewelry. Oh the things we do for fashion.
ReplyDeleteGreat shorts. These are the only type that would meet the dress code for me, but I'm certain they wouldn't look as good as yours.
ReplyDeletebelt is nice.
ReplyDeleteand your hair looks cool

I can only do that if I go in on the weekend...but I don't pull them off as well as you do. =)
ReplyDeleteOH MY DAYS! I love this! Bangles and desk job = not good and totally arkward!
ReplyDeleteC x
I just did this the other day too! Reeeeeeebels we are. Rebels. You look adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe loose top looks good tucked in with the shorts. Every time I wear bangles I feel like all they do is get all up in my way, especially when I'm on the computer. Oh my gosh that goose is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI used to wear bangles when I started working because I didn't want to have bare arms. I don't want to know what the people in my office thought of the noise I was making all the time.
ReplyDeleteLove the style of the shorts :)
Elaine, the shorts look great on you. I liked how your rolled them. The belt if pretty fantastic as well. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat pairing Elaine!! Your belt & bracelets gorgeous! Lend it to me!! Btw, I sometimes remove my bracelets when I work at desk, they just so in the way but then again they jazz up my outfit!!
ReplyDeleteWhat the frick Elaine, how do you make Molly Mormon shorts look so good?! I wish I didn't leave all my pairs at home now...
ReplyDeleteI love this look, Elaine! The tunic is especially beautiful - nice find!
ReplyDeleteYou're rocking those shorts. I never thought of wearing them to work, but it's a really good look, and love how well the top goes with it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it! I would look like a weirdo in these shorts but you are rockin' them!
ReplyDeleteThey are not SHORT shorts, I think you pulled them off very well.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the belt !
Cute shorts! I have them in orange and green. Sadly my legs are kind of long so they are too short to roll.
ReplyDeleteI love the baggy shirt with the loose shorts. You look great Elaine. Also, the olive color is really pretty on you.
ReplyDeleteNo Guilt Fashion

ReplyDeleteSuper cute shorts!

I wish I could wear shorts to work :)
ReplyDeleteYou are the only person I know who can wear a loose blouse, bermudas and flats and make them look as effortlessly cool as you do!
Ok I adore this look
ReplyDeleteYour shorts are the perfect length. Lucky girl wearing a cute casual outfit to work. I too always had to take my bracelets off at work to much clanking around and it made it way too difficult to type!
ReplyDeleteI totally want to buy that tunic! Love the length of your shorts. I dislike when I can see other girls pockets hanging down lower than the length of their shorts. Ewww.
ReplyDeleteGreat pairing Elaine!! Your belt & bracelets gorgeous! Lend it to me!! Btw, I sometimes remove my bracelets when I work at desk, they just so in the way but then again they jazz up my outfit!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, elaine!! I'm with you on the bracelets. They are definitely the most inconvenient jewelry. Oh the things we do for fashion.
