I'm wearing a gold necklace from Spain ($30), Old Navy striped shirt ($12), secondhand Gap flared jeans ($9), and Target clog sandals (gift) with a vintage Gucci bucket bag ($3).

Oh, hi there. I'm just, you know, walkin' down the sidewalk... You wouldn't think looking at this simple outfit that it took me a couple try-ons, a few cries, and all my clothes on the floor to achieve this look. That is what I call creativity, my friends! Now I'm off to figure out what to eat for dinner tonight.. This is probably why I always eat at 9pm. I need help.

  1. Even if technically wasn't, the outfit looks completely effortless! You looks so casually chic strolling the streets of LA!

  2. I love those pants on you :)
And I somehow never start to make dinner til like 9 and then we don't eat til like 10. I guess that would be ok if I were single and lived by myself. But I don't, I have a husband and baby to feed!! yikes!

  5. How naughty are you? *sly smile* *wink* Oh, you meant nauty as in nautical? Whoops. Well, I bet both meanings apply.

  9. Isn't it kind of funny that some of our seemingly effortless outfits take us forever to come up with?

It's one of the many Murphy's Laws of fashion.

  12. Those bell bottoms always rock my dang socks. I wish in all my heart of hearts that I could pull those things off but us hip endowed women have to be careful about befriending the flare. don't worry I cry over my clothes too...the only difference is that I don't make dinner:)

  16. It's true that it takes a lot of trial and error to arrive at a simple and classic outfit, the lass is more kind of thing!
Why don't you make a list of what to cook each day of the week, shop for it all at once and then take the whole thing out of your mind for a whole week. What you put in paper goes out of your mind.  That's my moto. Wait ,the others call it peace of mind.
