Isn't that first pic awesome? It took us like 100 takes. Kidding. It was 90. I also had a chipmunk face so I had to crop that out. It was almost embarrassing.
These are the rain boots I was talking about in this post. I'm sure some of you forgot but that's okay...that's why I'm here...to remind you of the menial trivialities of my life.
This was just a nice, comfy outfit for a rainy day that I only experienced for five minutes so I guess I really didn't need my boots but I wore them anyway.
I'm wearing a Forever 21 gray sweater cardigan (gift from my Valentine), Old Navy red striped shirt ($4), Forever 21 gemstone necklace ($6 - buy similar!), J Brand black jeans ($158 - buy it!), and thrifted black boots ($10).
Ooh what a good find! I like the hair bun too. :]
ReplyDeleteThese are like superhero rainboots. And I like them.
ReplyDeleteCute! I would love some rainboots except it never rains where I live...bummer. And yes, first picture = way awesome.
ReplyDeleteThose are some cute boots, with an amazing price! I like the first picture, do wish I could see your face =P I love that you jumped around and then in the next picture you look like you are whistling and going "I wasn't doing anything..."
ReplyDeletethose boots are ridiculously cute for being thrifted! crazyawesome find!
ReplyDeleteI love how in California we take every advantage of the rain we can.
ReplyDeleteWe have rainboots where I work and they never sell very fast. I bet you if I'd print out of a picture of you here and tape it above them, they'd sell like hot cakes! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe first pic is awesome! I´ve been wanting to do that since forever! :)

Rain boots that don't look like rain boots. Nice!
ReplyDeleteLove that first photo, and the boots are super cute!
ReplyDeletehaha i do love that first picture. 90 takes! that's some serious dedication. (: and i seeeriously need some new rainboots; i just keep avoiding buying them.
ReplyDeletePix of you jumping in puddle in too cute. Love the rain boots although with all the rain we've been having in OH, I'm beginning to think maybe more like an ark.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love wearing rain boots!

You can't say you had a "chipmunk face" without making us want to see it!!! We'd be ever so gratful if you shared it.
ReplyDeleteI love the boots. They remind me of something. Maybe the person who said they're superhero boots was right. It's SuperElaine!!! =)
Hope you're enjoying the visit.
love that first pic! i pinned it on Pinterest :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the the first photo if only for it's playful nature fits so well with your outfit!
ReplyDeleteHaha I need to go do this in mine. The weather here is pants enough - i'm going to be a copycat and if it rains tomorrow i'm going jumping in puddles. Hope you don't mind - at least i've admitted to liking to copy you.

these are so cute! i love rain boots! i just found your blog like two weeks ago and i LOVE it!!! you have such great ideas for outfits and you know how to put everything together just right! i just thought that you might want to know that i recently made a new page on my blog for blogs that i adore!!! for one, the reason i did this was because i read your blogging tips and you said that i should share whose blogs i read...i added yours to the list! i love your fashion and you are sooo funny!!! i love reading all of your blog posts cause i always end up laughing! oh and i also joined chictopia because of you! wow you are such an inspiration!...anyways here is my blog just in case you would like to check it out madisonavenue2011.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much, Madison! You're so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteI seriously love that first shot. Every time I wear my rainboots, it doesn't rain. So maybe I should wait for the puddles to form first :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love that first pic! And I love it even more since it took 90 shots! lol Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe boots are awesome on you, and I really like the first picture. Maybe next time we can see even more puddle action.
ReplyDeleteGreat first picture, it shows your ability to find fun in everyday! I love the diagonal cut of the top of your boots and your cozy looking sweater.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and your ability to remix, it is so inspiring to me!

I agree with Vanessa! Especially more puddle action :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather is dreary here too. Love the first pic....refreshing change from usual pose. I am trying the makeup and I love the blushes and foundation. Eyeshadow is kinda difficult for me to use.
ReplyDeleteYour first picture is awesome! Your boots are great. I just purchased my own rain boots and have only worn them once... for wedding pictures of all things. In my defense, the ground was squishy. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture! And I really like the angular cut of the top of the rain boots - they seem to make your legs look a bit longer than if they were cut straight across. It's been raining all week here on the East coast...really hope it stops soon! :(
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to wear rain boots even if it did only rain for 5 minutes :) rain is rain...and the ground is wet.
