Happiness is...

...Crumbs cupcakes. (Sprinkles is overrated.) Can't you tell from the look on my face? I was so ECSTATIC you can see my blood vessels almost popping.

I'm wearing a secondhand blue scarf ($3), Gap dress-turned-top ($7), Forever 21 striped skirt ($7 - buy it!), and Fitzwell black flats that you can't see but I really am wearing here ($75 - buy it!).

...and this last pic is just for kicks and giggles. I <3 us. Are you kicking and giggling yet?

Hope you got a yummy flavor!! We just go two new Crumbs in the area. I'm kind of partial to a local cupcake place, but my bf thinks Crumbs is the best. I don't understand why you would want a cupcake you can eat over two days though, lol. Which is crazy because I'm a cupcake fiend.

You, and Chase look too cute. I don't know why cupcakes seem so special compared to a slice of cake to me... they just do.

Your butt looks so cute in that skirt! I would wear it everywhere if I were you.

Well, Crumbs with Chase, right? =)

It's very cool that as you stand outside the bakeshop, you look like a girl who would never need to visit a gym.

omg this blog has GROWN since I last have had time to check it (like December before last I think) I have 3 kids so I never get to read the things I like. It's not that surprising - you are so charming and unique. Congrats on your beautiful blog and over 3000 followers!

You DO look very excited for those cupcakes. To the point where I'm going to have to see where the nearest one is and if I'll be in it's vicinity anytime soon. :)

TheSuburbExperiment said...

Never mind. Just went to their website. . . not even close. Sad face.

This is so cute! That skirt is gorgeous on you! And now I really want a cupcake!

Crumbs looks great!  But I am a sucker for pastries!

You look so cute.  That skirt looks super, super short on the F21 website.  How did you manage to make it the proper length on you?  Either the F21 model is freakishly tall or you are very petite.  You and Chase make such a cute couple.  And cupcakes, yeah, yummmmm!

I fell in love with Crumbs in Malibu. And squealed in delight when I saw your pictures and Cam at a Crumbs on Modern Family :) I'm glad to hear Sprinkles is overrated as we decided to skip the ridic line and go to the Farmer's Market instead. Hope you're having a great holiday weekend Elaine!

Rinny said...

I know you hate being called cute, but I think your expression in the first photo is adorable. You look like a kid in a candy shop (I guess cupcake shop would be more appropriate in this instance though!) :D

MONKEYFACE said...

Okay so just like BreBeauty, I am way behind on both blogs and television and just watched the Modern Family finale and freaked out that you guys were at the same place.  Squeeee cupcakes/goodtv/bloggers !!

I love how happy you look to eat cupcakes. With good reason though! Crumbs cupcakes are soooo good. :)

Haha. I LOVE how happy you look in this photo...which is exactly how I look whenever you put me in front of a Crumbs cupcake! Love how you paired black and white with orange and blue. It looks GREAT!

Elaine, you look utterly, utterly adorable here. All stripes, colors, and smiles!

so i've just now had a solid enough internet connection to comment....TOTAL AGREEMENT on the crumbs/sprinkles debate. sprinkles makes my throat burn and creates an insatiable need for milk. crumbs all the way! and, omg you're so precious in that skirt!

Leah said...

I just love this striped skirt...and girl, you are looking SKINNY!
Hope you enjoyed your cupcakes!! :)

Molly Mormon said...

I love this idea! I didn't have a skirt that was striped so I used and old dress and layered it with a pink shirt and it worked! Thanks sooooo much!

I love, love the skirt. I've seen a lot of striped maxi dresses (and I love maxis) but they have too many stripes! I would feel like a zebra or prisoner. Haha. This skirt is the perfect amount of stripes.

We have Crumbs out here in NYC, & they're good, but we're just not filled-cupcake people. (My 2-year-old does love their pink cupcake though...) We prefer Magnolia all the way! Sprinkles just opened here, so we're planning a side-by-side taste test... Wonder who'll win!

Dawn Hayner said...

I LOVE cupcakes!!  I found some boutique cupcake places where I love though (not a chain) that I actually like better than Crumbs in NYC.  And Magnolia too.  But seriously, is there really a babd cupcake??

Ramz_revell said...

For some reason, cupcakes have been on my brain as of recent.  I think that means I'd better get my hands on some asap.  I have a birthday coming up, so guess what it looks like i'll be asking for...

Gem Braithwaite said...

I am OBSESSED with Crumbs! We don't get it here in England but a friend brought me some back from NYC and now no cupcake I eat can compare! Soo jealous you have one so close to you!

janet said...

Monika said...

Hmm... No wonder that you are so excited, I even went to their website to check it... Oh, and I am so sorry that I live so far. It looks so delicious (even if I`m on diet :))
You look so great together (was this picture taken before or after Crumbs? :)

Sherin said...

I want to go to that cupcake place! It looks amazing. I'd look that happy outside as well.
Also loving that skirt! I'm a sucker for anything with stripes.

I love that skirt!  I clicked on the link to buy it, but it took me to one that looks much shorter, is it the same skirt and you're just wearing it differently?
