I'm wearing a Target green tunic ($16 - buy it!), reworked JCPenney pink necklace (free with gift cards), Forever 21 black skirt ($6), and thrifted Nine West black heels ($3).

Can I just start out by saying how much I love this tunic shirt thing? K, now I can start...

I think I'm wearing this braided updo a little too much... But it's so easy! ...and I forgot how to do a crownbraid!!!!!! :(:(:(:(:( Quick! Someone study my tutorial and teach me! My ego needs it!!

That is a great shirt and a great skirt.  They go very well together.

Hope you had a wonderful Sunday.

I don't mean to be hateful, I mean this with sincere care for you and your cute self, but girl, you need to visit the dermatologist. Your skin is ANGRY!

Thank you for the observation, Kate. I have an appointment on Tuesday! HALLELUJAH.

i love the tunic too + the necklace!

I actually like this updo on you. So go on with your bad self. That tunic looks really pretty tucked in.

Yikes. If this is angry, I don't think there are words to describe mine. I'd paint you a picture, but it wouldn't be pretty. Elaine, if it makes you feel better, your skin is a million times better than mine....and I bet it doesn't hurt. At least I hope not.

Elaine Hearn said...

Oh, it does.. It burns and it yells at me! I'm soooo sick of it!!!!!!

Linda said...

I'm SO sorry to hear that. I know just how you feel. Let me know if you get some good tips from your dermatologist. My appointment is not for another 3 weeks!!

And, I think you still look great :)

You have such class, Elaine.  And grace.  The slim pencil neck is perfect with the loose tunic.  Quite the flattering ensemble.  :)

Elaine Hearn said...

Yes, will definitely let you know! Keep me updated!! :) elainehearn@gmail.com (I made my derm appointment a month ago too.. What the heck? Don't they realize this is an emergency?!?)
And thank you! You're so nice!!!

Once I find a good style I tend to stick with it. Until 2 weeks later when it suddenly doesn't work anymore...yay curly hair I guess...

It's totally understandable that you love this shirt ;-) I like this monochromatic outfit with the colourful necklace a lot! Something to keep in mind as inspiration!

Great outfit! I too like your tunic top, it's very versatile. I think the top knot is adorable, I only wish I could do it too. I would need professional (hair wrangling) help!

I owned this top and then I noticed after 1 wear that it was ripping right beside the seam at the bust (near the buttons).  Luckily, Target let me return it and I went to grab another one but noticed that all of them were close to ripping as well.  Not sure if we got a bad batch at my Target, but keep an eye out for that!  I was so bummed b/c I loved that shirt!

I agree, it's easy to fall into the lazy hair style rut, especially once it starts to get hot out and you want your hair off your neck!

I just bought that same necklace from some little boutique but I wonder if they just bought it at JC Penney and sold it more expensive to me. Do you mind me asking how much was your necklace? I know it was free but how much was the price for it?
