I'm wearing an Old Navy striped shirt ($4), Forever 21 gemstone necklace ($6 - buy similar!), thrifted brown belt ($2), Forever 21 maxi-dress-now-maxi skirt ($5), and Target clog sandals (gift from my in-laws) with a vintage Gucci bucket bag ($3).

My interpretation of this pin.

I'll tell you my secret...
gray maxi skirt + loose striped shirt + long pendant necklace + brown belt + one foot peeking out = perfect Madewell maxi skirt copycat outfit

..but I'd still rather wear hers! ..especially with that gorgeous Belladona skirt!

  10. Love this!  Now I'm going to copy you, making me a copy of a copy.  Will it translate or will it be like that 90's movie with Michael Keaton, Multiplicity?  Anyone?

I agree with the others, I think your outfit is better.   Now I just wish I could borrow your shape.  A lot of the looks that are so great on you would be terrible on me, unfortunately.

You recreated the look...only better. :). Is that the best length to wear maxis? It is, isn't it? Then I've been walking around looking like a highwatered dork. Why doesn't this surprise me?

  28. All your maxi looks lately have really made me want one of my own. Love this simple but cute look on you, Elaine!

  29. Maxi dresses always look so good on you Elaine! I don't think the look would be very flattering on me though as I'm on the shorter side and the dress would just trail behind me :P

  30. I actually think your outfit is much more flattering than the pin!!! :D
