I wore this on Thursday but I'm posting now because I've been busy. or lazy. Depends on how you see it. We'll go with busy so it makes me look better.
There's so much going on here I don't know where to look - leopard print, stripes, wrinkles, [fake] leather, and a cool redish medallion (that I can't stop wearing).
On Thursday night, Emily invited me to Lucky Shops LA! Yeah, I'm not sure what that means either. When I got there, it was a sample sale for designer stuff. It just reminded me of how poor I was so I left after a half hour. Just in time too because I saw Emily walking in! We sadly didn't get a pic together but one day my dream will come true. Also, I got swaaaaag. Of course. I wouldn't leave a fancy party without getting my free stuff first! (Yes, I'm a cheapskate.) Check out what was in the swag bag at Emily's blog.
I'm wearing a Collection B black jacket ($55 - buy similar!), leopard print scarf ($7 - buy similar!), MNG by Mango orange necklace (free with gift cards - buy it!), green cardigan ($13), Old Navy striped shirt ($4), Zara gray pants ($20), and Target clog sandals (gift from my in-laws) with a MNG by Mango black bag (free with gift cards).
Ooh, I love the first two close up shots! I'd love to see those more in your posts!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll tell Chase to make me feel sexy more.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love how crazy this is! :D The scarf is my favorite part, after the shoes of course...haha

I'm so cheap, and well poor that I have hard time hearing about great sample sales. If it's over $20 I am probably not going to buy it. So $50 leggings that are normally $500 do not amaze me. I'm such a cheapskate.

i love the layers and the big necklace poking out--such a chic weekend look! xo
ReplyDeleteI didn't buy anything either. I had a good laugh though seeing all the signs saying 50% off and then looking at the $325 tag for a shirt. Um, I will take my swag bag and call it a night! haha
ReplyDeleteI like the much going oness. Layering is khhool. True story
ReplyDeleteLove all the layers!
ReplyDeleteThat's how the Threadshow was. I did get a shirt for $30 but the sales guy kept telling me what a great deal I was getting because it is usually $75. I was like, for a t-shirt? Really?
a cute outfit! I love layering and I love your bag!
ReplyDeletei like all the unexpected patterns together :)
ReplyDeleteLove the layering!

I'm enjoying that your outfit is very "busy" and I don't know where to focus, it's def very interesting. Lucky Shops is always a packed event in NYC you can end up waiting at least an hour to get in and all to spend your money on stuff you probably don't need... yeah I'm ok with missing it.
ReplyDeleteyou look cute

I have always wanted to attend the New York one, but felt the same way as you. Might be a little to rich for my blood at least you got a cool gift bag. Loving the loads of layers, but I really can't take my eyes off that coral medallion. :)
ReplyDeleteps. Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a lovely comment.

There are so many fashionable people in the web right now, whose styles are usually current, trendy, sometimes against it; and while I like them, it feels refreshing to see someone like you pull together classics and still look just as fashionable, if not more :)
ReplyDeleteI have those same pants, love them! Great look!
ReplyDeletei'm gonna steal this whole outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteThat scarf is FAB! Happy Sunday :) xo
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this. I'm a huge fan of leopard print and it just looks really edgy and smart with that jacket. You are totally rocking this look.
