Blogger Meet-Ups

I know I haven't done a Getting to Know You post in foreverrrrrrrr. It's because the only questions I can think of are "What's your favorite color?" and "What's your other favorite color?" So today's questions are....

Have you ever met another blogger?
If so, who have you met?
If not, who do you want to meet without sounding creepy?

A few weeks ago, I met up with Jenn. We had been talking about meeting up for a while ever since Chase and I found out we were moving to L.A. But life happened and it took us almost 6 months to get together. We finally set a date and got dinner at Veggie Grill (delish and healthy).

Can you tell she's also a photographer?? I mean, look how good I look..
Me and Jenn. Isn't she adorable? I want her to start posting her outfits because she has better style than me!!
We couldn't say no to dessert...especially gelato..
It was so much fun meeting Jenn! I swear we talked and talked for hours...we had so much in common. We also think our husbands are going to be besties. We came to find out they have a lot in common too but they don't know it yet.

Have you ever met another blogger?
If so, who have you met?
If not, who do you want to meet without sounding creepy?

  1. Eventually, most husband's friends are the hubs of their wife's friends and the dad's of their kid's friends. We manage to hang onto a few of our own, but not many.

Since the majority of my blog friends are female, I'd only want to meet them if my wife approved and was there too. For example, I love Kym, but if I ever went to Vancouver alone on business, I would not get together with her. My wife wouldn't like it.

  11. I've never met any other bloggers. I don't think I want to as I imagine they will be so much more stylish and interesting than me!

I'm so glad you had a great time.

  12. I've never met another blogger, but I have plans to meet Emily, aka Miss Lewis, at BYU this summer! Which should prove to be delightful :) But if I could meet anybody else....it'd probably be Krystle of Dear Winsome, because her posts are always so inspiring, I wonder what she would be like in person!

  14. I haven't met another blogger, but I would love to. Sadly, I think it would be kind of awkward, as I consider myself pretty boring... but if I were to go to a blogger meet-up, hopefully it would be with more than one person.

  18. I have actually met other bloggers - it was at the beginning of the month! Some of us local Northern Virginia bloggers got together and it was SO much fun getting to meet them in person! Liz of Reston Style was the one who got us all together, but there were like 5 or 6 of us in all who got together!

Who I would like to meet in person - Hello Monkeyface, Kendi, Mandy of .Clothes Coquette, Tania of What Would a Nerd Wear, and (not to be creepy) you too!! :)

  19. I would love to meet you! You seem like so much fun :)

I've met Elsie and Katie of A Beautifulmess/Skunkboy Creatures at renegade- they were very sweet but different than I expected.

I've also met a local blogger in Michigan: Leigh. We are besties now, practically. :)

I love blogger meet ups.. but it's always kinda creepy. I think about all the myspace meet ups that went wrong. But we're not 'dating' these people.. so I guess it's okay haha.

  24. I love the fact that blogging has allowed me to meet some fab people. I met up with Char from T*rexes and Tiaras this time last year and we got on so well that we meet up all the time now - we've stayed at each other's houses and even been away for a weekend together.

I had a lovely mini meet with Margaret from Penny Dreadful Vintage last time I was down in London too and am definitely hoping to see her next time I'm down there.

There's a meetup planned in June for bloggers from NW England and I'm really looking forward to it. Some of my fave bloggers should be there and as long as I can stop being shy, it should be brilliant to meet them all.

  26. I met one blogger, and all I said was hello. I was so nervous to introduce myself, I'm not a huge schmoozer. But, it really wasn't that bad. I'm all for food with a meet up. I really want to organize an Ohio one. I could live in that gelato case, it look delicious.

  28. San Diego has a pretty strong blogger community, so I have met a lot of bloggers here.

Oh, and I went to BlogHer last year so I met all sorts of people. And BlogWorld. Oh my goodness, so many bloggers.

Are you going to BlogHer in San Diego? You should come. Drive down and we can hang out... there needs to be more non-moms out there .

  29. I have never met another blogger. I would like to meet Fabienne from The House in the Clouds. She is really artsy and an inspiration to me. She lives near SF and close to where I live so it is doable. If I could just meet any of the bloggers, I would want to hang out with Bonnie from Small Town Fashionista and Kim from Anthroholic. And finally, ELAINE FROM CLOTHED MUCH!!! Cheers!

I have met a bundle of other bloggers before, at a tumblr meetup! I'm also real-life friends with a couple of girls who have blogs now, too.
One girl I met through Lookbook turned out to be in my math class and she's now one of my best friends!

  43. i kinda met someone via blogging. but we'd met in person before at a wedding. and we're married to men with the SAME NAME. so we had to be real-life friends. but if it hadn't been for me blog-stalking her after the wedding, we wouldn't be real-life friends.

    yea!!

  44. I did a blogger meet up this weekend (my first ever) and it was a total success! I was worried about the creeper factor (you never know with people) but it was better than I could have predicted! I blogged about it today in fact. Happy Monday, love your blog!

  45. Blog meet-ups are so much fun! We had our Seattle blogger meet-up awhile ago, and I've grabbed lunch with a couple girls I know from blogs, and it's just been a lot of fun because it's so nice to be able to talk about other blogs that we follow and who we like/dislike and stuff. I can't talk about that with my non-blog friends because they'll have no idea what the heck I'm talking about :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. that sounds so awesome . i recently had a few bloggers want to meet up .but it didnt happen . a part of me was relieved just because im a painfully shy person . and i hate to subject people to my awkwardness.
do you have any tips about it ? i would really love to eventually meet someone from the blogosphere but im afraid im just not very good at making small talk or even talking to a stranger for a prolonged period of time . do you think i should just not try it at all? :(

    ReplyDelete
  47. I was the same way. I think it's fun and totally worth it even if you think it's goingt o be awkward! Like everyone else has already said, you could find your next best friend! You never know.

  48. Very cool blog ;) I've had one big blogger meetup where I live and it was a blast, we talked for hours on all the things we love about blogging, fashion, copyright, pr, etc. It was so enjoyable and such a great way to learn more about blogging and make new friends.
