There is no point in having a nice lens when you can't use it. Looks like I have to revert to the basic lens for the tripod pics. Why does everything bad happen to me?

I love these jeans. They are a size 0. I am not a size 0. So these babies make me feel sooooo good. They are also getting a little big from wear. I'm just going to pretend I'm getting skinnier despite the 8 pounds...and that I really am a size 00. (Yeah, right.. My butt would never let me.)

I think I'm going to lengthen these jeans a tad by redoing the hems. I like the "I can't see your shoes" look. Mostly because I always wear my clog sandals with these jeans and I don't like looking at my toes...because feet are gross.

Don't let the blue skies and sunshine fool you. I drove home in a torrential downpour. Have you ever heard that L.A. people are scared of the rain? WELP, it's true. I think most of them are afraid they're going to melt.

I'm wearing a red beanie (c/o SLiM Motif - buy it!), JCPenney tan trenchcoat (free with gift cards), JCPenney gray buttondown shirt (free with gift cards), secondhand Gap flared jeans ($9), Old Navy brown belt ($10 - buy it!), and Target clog sandals (gift from my in-laws) with JCPenney black bag (free with gift cards).

Such a cute outfit! You look adorable in hats, and I really love those jeans.
ReplyDeleteLove the beannie hat! Cute touch ... Love it when tags say different obviously smaller size, the feeling is amazing!

Wanna know something funny... I got brand new seven for all mankind Dojo jeans which are the wide leg look for $6- brand new with tags!!! Designer jeans, not Gap jeans secondhand but DESIGNER BRAND NEW for $3 less than you. WOOT WOOT!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I just realized I have that shirt!!! It so doesn't look like that on me because my Mama gave it to me and it's just... not my size haha!!!! :) Anyway, you look fab as always!!!!!
ReplyDeletei never thought i would want to wear a beanie like that until i see how CUTE it looks with the sublte gray plaid shirt. love this e!
ReplyDeleteThis is probably my favorite of all your outfits. I love the beanie and the jeans. I wish I could find jeans that fit that well without being altered. The whole outfit looks chic yet comfortable. Love it!
ReplyDeletePS. taking your own photos is no fun, but you pull it off so well!
I love love love love LOVE these jeans. and I know what you mean about letting out the hem. The Target clogs are so tall that I feel like my jeans are too short, because I like them grazing on the ground. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, love this outfit, and it's not because I wore something similar a few days ago. ;) I just need your trench coat and hat and I'll be good. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right??? :)
Man you people in LA would not last here in Ohio. I love it. Nice, chic, and simple. I also saw the similar one on Kimmie's site too. I need a cute plaid shirt asap. I wanna be "in".

The jeans look great on you!
ReplyDeleteWhat up with the LA rain?! Here I am contemplating a move from the tundra and LA isn't behaving well... tsk. :)
Love the wide legged jeans. People in CA don't know how to drive in the rain, and I'm FROM here!! You just drive a little slower and don't follow people closely, but apparently that's hard to remember? The melting thing is true =P
ReplyDeleteCute Beannie!!

You look great in those pants! I want some right now!
ReplyDeleteI have some flare 7 jeans that I bought from a designer jeans store with a really groovy Groupon deal. However, I need to go to the tailor to have them shortened. Thanks for featuring an outfit with flare jeans. It will give me some ideas.
ReplyDeleteyou look too cute, elaine, and i love love love the jeans!!
ReplyDeleteI really love this outfit! I'm a die hard flare jean girl. I wish I could find a pair like that but I live in blahville so... :/ I'll just save up for a pair for now and hopefully will be able to go shopping in a real city sometime soon. :)
ReplyDeleteOooo I love the wide legged jeans on you! I'm kinda glad this whole flared jeans trend is coming back again because I think the style is flattering on almost all body shapes.

Those jeans look amazing on you
Did you end up changing the hem and how did that work out? Every time I've tried to lengthen pants by changing the hem there was too much of a crease from the old hem and I didn't know what to do.
these jeans look amazing on you, and everything else fits so well. as a petite girl myself, i am always impressed when other petites have such perfectly tailored clothing - something i personally am still struggling with! haha.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your jeans. They fit you so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI've got a pair of size 2's, and I'm never a size 2. I know the feeling :)
I so wish I could pull off a beanie!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm curious about the lens... does it not work? It is on my to-get list... but does it not work with the remote?
Aw, they are $5 on Amazon, splurge! :)
ReplyDeleteOh those jeans look so good on you Elaine! They really are flattering! The rain has been icky here huh? I truly laughed when you said that LA people were scared they would melt by the rain.
ReplyDelete$9 for those jeans! O-mazing!
ReplyDeleteholy long legs, friend!! i love these jeans on you (i might also point out that you were about a year ahead on the flare-jean trend, everyone should be linking back to you :)
ReplyDeletesorry about your rainy days--it's starting to get super chilly around here, too, but i keep thinking that i'll just be twice as happy when spring comes at last. xoxo
Totally love that beanie annnd the whole outfit itself, of course, but the beanie looks fabulous on you! =)

ReplyDeleteI love your jeans and I actually think the length is perfect. And you rock the beanie.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! And you are tiny but I agree Gap jeans tend to run big on me too...they are really great though! I am sure changing the hem will be even cuter!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this look!! It looks like something my sister would wear. Hat, plaid shirt--everything!
ReplyDeleteI like the no feet look, I'm not a fan of toes either...
ReplyDeleteThose flared jeans are awesome, you wear them well :)
ReplyDeleteWell you look super cute, despite the rain. Love those trousers!

What a great trench. I've been shopping around for the perfect trench for awhile now and still haven't found it. I really am loving yours though.

ReplyDeleteyou look great!love the style!
ReplyDeletethose jeans are amazing!! and $9 too! deal of the century!! x
ReplyDeletewhere on EARTH do you find secondhand gap jeans for only 9 stinking dollars?? Instead of 70! Don't tell me those were sitting around at a Goodwill or something..I love those jeans!
ReplyDeleteUm, I'm a Californian in Oregon (don't ask), and let me tell you, to this SoCal girl, the rain is frightening indeed. Why I decided to move to Portland, OR, I have no idea. Oh wait, yes I do. The green is worth the terror. hahahah
ReplyDeleteI guess rain in LA and snow in DC reveal who has common sense and who doesn't. There are too many of the latter. As for the infamous 8 pounds, ask Chase and he'll tell you that you're the perfect size. So....what 8 pounds??? =)
ReplyDeleteThose jeans look amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteYou look like a size zero! Your so beautiful!! I really liked the look today too! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAMEN SISTAH! I was on the 134 in Burbank on Sunday night when some yahoo goes flying by me. No sooner did I think "can't he be scared like the rest of us LA drivers?" he hydroplanes, spins out, and slams into the center divider. LA is NOT made for the rain!
ReplyDeleteLA + rain + total tools = suckville. Glad there are people like you that make me hope for this place. You look lovely, by the way.
ReplyDeleteLuuuuuuHuuuvvvv this outfit! Wish I could pull off that hat look! You look great! :)
ReplyDeleteYour beanie and Gap jeans are awesome!

ReplyDeleteI never thought about going back to flared jeans. But this look making me think otherwise! Lovely outfit!
