Hey, guys... Sorry I haven't posted for like a year. I haven't had time until now because I was busy having crazy rockstar party fun all weekend....if crazy rockstar party fun means dinner (Johnny Rockets) and a free movie (The Adjustment Bureau) on Friday and running, washing the car, shopping, Mexican food (see below), and grocery shopping on Saturday. We've never had a more exciting weekend. Truly.

So I put this skirt in the washing machine and one of the seams ripped open. That is what I get for .... something wrong I did that one time. The skirt's been sitting in my "to fix" pile for weeks and I finally fixed it on Thursday night so I can wear it....and I fixed it so good you guys. I feel so domesticated...for fixing my undomesticated mistake.

I'm wearing a Collection B jacket (c/o Collection B), reworked JCP necklace (free with gift cards), H&M shirt ($6 - buy similar!), Forever 21 skirt (gift from my sister-in-law - buy similar!), and flats from the Philippines ($7) with a JCPenney bag (free with gift cards).

I so wish I could fix things and feel domesticated. My leopard print pants broke on the seam so I guess i'm just gonna have to learn, sad times. Happy VT'ing

Loving that skirt! This nspires me to fix my undomesticated laundry mistakes ... but I probably still won't. Maybe sometime when my i'm completely uninspired by my in-tact clothes, I will fix my broken ones. It'll almost be like going shopping!
ReplyDeleteThe frilly/edgy mix is great. You look smokin'. ;)
The necklace looks great with this, and I love the jacket.

Pleats. I love pleats. Especially when they are paired with something "soft" like your necklace.
ReplyDeleteI love the combo! The skirt is so feminine while the jacket does add a bit of an edge to it. I love love love the pink necklace. It definitely adds a pop of color! :)

I always have liked mixing feminine pieces with edgy pieces.
ReplyDeleteMy Heart Blogged
It was lame. I'm glad we didn't pay real money for it! I say wait til it comes out on Redbox or Netflix...
ReplyDeleteWhy are my pics all grainy....... My life sucks.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful outfit. I love the colour palette here and I especially love the necklace and the skirt. They are very much things I would love to have and wear!
ReplyDeletenice work fixing the skirt! it's so lovely and the girly frills mixed with the edgy leather jacket are perfect!
ReplyDeletecute & little
you look great! love you necklace and your biker jacket :)
ReplyDeletenice to hear you had a nice weekend! :D
I'm glad you fixed that skirt -- it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love this edge but fancy look well done. So I have been thinking about your post where you lengthen your skirt by using another skirt and I am just so amazed- still. I've looked back at my blog and saw some items that I could have done that. Instead I've worn stretchy shorts underneath to keep from exposing my modesty. I am really really digging this idea and plan to use it soon.
ReplyDeleteWrite it in lipstick
Even rockstars have to go to the grocery store! We had a similar weekend--except Red Robin instead of Johnny Rockets. Our shopping included buying pants, so I have to choose one of three options for hemming them: sew them; use the two-sided iron-in-the-hem tape; or pay the dry cleaners to sew them up. The early money is being bet on the dry cleaner.
ReplyDeleteYour Friday outfit would be good for any day of the week. =)
oooooh i really like how you mixed girly girl with tough girl :) especially loving the necklace!

ReplyDeleteOooo, this makes me want a biker jacket!
ReplyDeleteMotorcycle jacket + girly skirt = great weekend outfit! Your dinner looked great too!
ReplyDeleteYou look really cute. I might have to steal that outfit. I have a similar skirt and I've been eyeing a similar jacket from Kohls.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect weekend for me. Dinner, movie and running errands with my man. I'm a low-key, cheap date. :)
I love the combination of the edgier jacket with such a feminine skirt :)
ReplyDeleteI love this look on you! It's great how you continued the edgy/feminine aesthetic even down to your accessories.
