Slimmin'

Monday, March 14, 2011
So as you guys know with my job the food is abundant and I inevitably gained weight...8lbs to be exact. That's a lot for a little girl like me. It's not like I feel fat though. I feel great when I'm naked but once I put on clothes that fit my 8lb lighter frame I feel fat. So I've come to the conclusion that instead of trying to squeeze into skinny jeans and lamenting about my sausage thighs, I'm going to need some new clothes. So I got these slim boyfriend jeans over the weekend. And they make me feel amazing. WINNING.

The first and last time I wore this shirt was here. Like all JCPenney shirts, it was big and boxy so it kind of got lost in my closet with my other five shirts. Last night I finally took the sides in and it looks so good, you guys. I'm so domesticated, you have no idea. I suppose you kind of have an idea now.

I added this rhinestone necklace to not make it look too casual and western...like "look at me- I can get down and dirty but I'm still fancy."

I'm wearing a JCPenney shirt (free with gift cards), JCPenney necklace (free with gift cards - buy it!), Gap Factory jeans ($26), and Target clog sandals (gift from my in-laws) with a JCPenney bag (free with gift cards).

And great job taking that shirt in..that job would be a little ambitious for me.
The necklaces adds a really nice touch to the outfit for sure :)

  9. You look so good. I think it is important to try to look good no matter what size you are. I am currently 80 pounds overweight. I'm exercising and eating sensibly and have lost some weight. Some people would make do with what they've got until they lost more weight. That just makes me feel frumpy. Women should look good and feel good no matter what their size. And you always look good!

  10. Boyfriend jeans have been the answer to many of my prayers. If by prayers I mean muttered rants to fashion namebrands whilst trying to tug denim jeggings on. I've decided I think 'jeggings' are ridiculous.

  12. I really like your outfit. Don't get too domesticated. I don't want to read about you cooking 5 course meals, and cleaning your house in 5 minutes flat. That will just make me feel unproductive.

  50. I love the necklace to tone down the 'country' look. I live in Texas and believe it or not I do try to avoid looking like I'm constantly line dancing.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Love the outfit and how you styled it and you are so far from being fat that it is laughable. You have great legs and look good in skinny jeans.

    ReplyDelete
  52. This is a great look. Love the rhinestones and girly accents with the country vibe. You look great in boyfriend jeans, BUT you are the tiniest person ever and can definitely rock whatever style of pants you want.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think your clothes must have shrunk. I don't see any extra poundage on you anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  54. i think you look amazing! and i can't even tell you've gained weight at all. and i'm so impressed with your healthy attitude toward your weight gain. a lot of girls would be freaking out and starving themselves or something so thanks for promoting the opposite :) you rock!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think you look incredible! You actually look pretty toned so maybe you're gaining muscle! I loooove those jeans. I'm looking for a pair just like them!

    ReplyDelete
  56. You can tell?? Because I can't. I was starting to think all that time going to the gym was a waste!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Slouchy = comfy. It's simple math!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I actually like leggings but it shows everything....and I'm not cool with that. Jeggings...I'm not sure what to think of them yet. I think it depends on the brand. I've seen fashion bloggers sport cheap quality jeggings where they're saggy... Nothing saggy is ever good.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oh, yeah. That totally does! For me, I sit (to drive) to work, at work, and (to drive) from work. No bueno.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I've already freaked out...like 6 months ago. And I love food too much which is why I can never diet....ever. So my only option is to sweat it all off.

  77. I'm just getting caught up on blogs, so I'm a bit behind. I love how you paired the plaid top with the sparkly necklace. I will definitely borrow this idea in the future. Sometimes I dress a little on the prairie side. I think a necklace like that would update my look. Thanks for the inspiration, as usual! :)
