Over the weekend but really only pictures from today

As you guys know, my brother is here visiting for a few days. So far we've shopped and ate like a bajillion times. It was awesome. Exhibit A is below:  a bacon-wrapped hot dog at L.A. Fashion District. Delish. I wanted a second one but Chase said no.

There were SO MANY PEOPLE. It's fun for like five minutes and then I get anxious and just want to get outta there. All I think is if there was some sort of natural disaster or accident that caused people to freak out and push and shove, I'd probably get trampled over and die. THAT is what runs through my head every time I'm in a crowd. YES, I'M CRAZY.
Me...plotting an escape route. There was none. By then I had already accepted my fate.
Then we went to Grand Central Market and kind of got lunch. I say kind of because we just sampled everything. So it doesn't really count, right?
Across the street from the market is Angels Flight. We decided to see what was at the top...but really we needed some exercise for eating so much...because we're pigs. I love it.
I'm wearing a Gap gray sweater ($12 - buy it!), DownEast Basics shirt underneath (gift from my mother-in-law - buy it!), gold necklace ($5), J Brand black jeans ($158 - buy it!), and Forever 21 brown boots ($16) with a vintage Gucci bucket bag ($3).
Just got this zip sweater from Gap with the Give and Get coupon yesterday. I absolutely love it. I put it on as the guy was checking me out. (Hehe. I made a funny.)
That is my baby brother in the top left hand corner of these pics. He's such a trooper. He should be after walking 8 hours a day on his mish!
I am not so much a trooper. Chase wouldn't carry me. So rude.
But I did it!!! Cue Rocky music. I can say that because I'm actually from Philly. You can't though. Okay, maybe you can.
And a pic of my babe just because I like him...like a lot.

  1. That third-to-last photo is TOTALLY me. I LOLed.

and that bacon wrapped hot dog looks DELICIOUS. If I ever come visit LA, we can go together, and I'll let you eat two of them. And then I can carry you up the steps, because I'm nice like that.

  2. That looks like a lot of fun, except the walking everywhere part. I really like hot dogs, and the best hot dog place in town opened yesterday. I think you would love the place. The junior french fry is around the size of 3 McDonald's large fries. The large fry feeds 8-10 people. It's crazy awesome.

  9. You are not crazy. I feel the exact same way in crowds—though you are the first to admit it. In my head I'm all like "yay yay yay busy it must be good... great people watching...look at that, look at that, oh look at that... ow what the? that guy just totally elbowed me oh nooo where's my wallet SOMEONE swiped my wallet!!!!!! ahhhh oh no here it is in my hand, ha, I need to get out of here, what if there's a fire"...and on and on and on...

    Ok maybe we are crazy.

  19. Okay... so my mouth is watering after that picture of the hot dog. My bf and I are going to NYC in a few months and we've already checked the menu at a hot dog stand and discussed what we are ordering.. pathetic? Yes. We just don't have these things in MI.

Also you look really pretty. I love your bangs.. I say keep them! haha

  30. First thing I noticed about your outfit was how much I love your bag. After I realized that I needed one more than life itself and was trying to find out where you got it I saw that it is vintage and $3 so probably thrifted. So basically I have no chance of owning it...and I'm mad about it too. Grrrr....

  31. Haha, glad you like your husband! =D LOVE the sweater and jeans, its so simple, but you make it look good =) Wow, walking 8 hours I day? I would die..
