I wore this today. K, see ya.

Hahahahaha, just kidding. I'm still here. But I'm really gonna go soon because Chase took me out to dinner (sushi) and now we're going to watch a movie (netflix) so essentially it's a date...and I'm cheating on him with the internet. He'll never find out. He never reads this anyway.

K, just a quick snippet about my outfit.... I had picked out two outfits last night. They were both okay and I was iffy on them which is why I had two. But then I woke up and felt bloated...probably from the brownie yesterday...and skinny jeans were the last thing on my mind...since I was bloated. So I decided to wear a maxi dress. I need to stock up on these! So super duper comfortable.

Also, I stole this necklace from my cousin. Cousin, if you're reading this, I'm sorry but not really because your mom gave it to me. I still love you. I'll see you some holiday soon. Love, me.

I'm wearing a cardigan from some Korean clothes boutique ($14), Forever 21 maxi dress ($5 - buy similar!), secondhand gold beaded necklace (took it from my cousin), Old Navy belt ($10 - buy it!), and Forever 21 boots ($16 - buy similar!) with a JCPenney bag (free with gift cards).
Elaine, super hot dress. I'm now checking them out. Because I want to be you when I grow up.
ReplyDeleteP.S. you continually amaze me. You post more than anyone I know and you work. Full-time. Again, I want to be like you when I grow up. That's my goal...soon. I want to try to post more often than I do. I started a cooking blog and I'm awful at posting there too. But you inspire me. Gonna try harder! (www.chereadrienne.wordpress.com if you're interested). I also started a project 365, but I havne't posted any of those pictures yet because I can't decide if it deserves its own blog or if I should add it to my professional site. Thinking of keeping them separate. hmm.
I miss our dates. Come back to Utah!!
Love it! Great outfit inspiration...think I'll make a trip into my closet now... :)
ReplyDeleteLove the whole look. The colours, the cardigan over the maxi, those boots. All to die for.
ReplyDeletethis is probably my favorite outfit you've worn! love the boots and the belted dress :)
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see you wear this maxi dress, it makes me more inclined to try one out myself! I love how many ways you've worn this. I keep thinking they are only one-dimensional. Silly me.
ReplyDeleteAnd the boots give the outfit a completely different feel too. Love it.

I LOVE maxi dresses, they are great when you are having a fat day, so comfy, but I have problems accessorizing them, really like how you did it
ReplyDeleteThat maxi dress looks great on you! Very chic! And your necklace is adorable. I can see why you stole it. ;) Haha! I have a few things that I've borrowed from my sister-in-law as well...

I love maxi dresses so much. I wore one to a rodeo today. It was so much cooler than the denim, plaid and boots everyone else was wearing in the 80 degree heat. Suckas!

ReplyDeleteYou look great in a maxi dress! I've always been afraid to try them because I feel like I'll look even shorter than I already am (5") .... But this outfit is sort of changing my mind, haha. x)

ReplyDeleteI see your g-lines! See? I'm all up on mormon-lingo. Does that make me cool enough to join the mormon blogger directory???
ReplyDeleteAnyway, love this outfit, I'm still too scared to wear maxi skirts, but you do it beautifully.

ReplyDeleteI love how maxi dresses look on others, but I'm so afraid of wearing one cause I'm really short! Any tips Elaine? :) Thanks x

ReplyDeleteNow I'm convinced I should try a maxi skirt. I'm a shorty, and I always feel like I can't wear a maxi skirt. Yours looks awesome though. While I'm not upon all the Mormon lingo was Kimmie talking about the garments you wear to temple by g-lines? A friend of mine in high school was Mormon.
