This dress has gotten shorter. Or I've gotten taller. Or I'm more aware of my exposed knees. Whatever it is, I needed something underneath to cover my immodesty...so I pulled a Kjrsten&Anna, Tessa, and Ashley. These ladies are amazing at layering longer skirts underneath shorter dresses and skirts. Learn from them...now me too.

I think I like this outfit. I'm unsure about the blue on blue action. That's my rules talking... At least the security guard at work liked it! And in the end, that's all that matters. Security guards, I mean. (Thank you for escorting me to my car at night that one time I got scared...just a little.)

It looks like I also pulled a Kristine (pose). She does it better, obvi. It has nothing to do with the fact that I'm obsessed with her blog and study it daily... It's not creepy if I met her, right? Or is it more creepy..

I'm wearing a thrifted Sonoma dress ($5 - buy similar!), skirt from Korea underneath ($10), lace belt (from Fay), and JCPenney heels with a JCPenney bag (both free with gift cards).

Not to sound like a know it all but it's because you belted it. Unless you belt your dress all the time. When I belt a dress it makes it shorter. It seriously makes me want to punch someone right in the face. Preferably Charlie Sheen. Except I'm not violent.
ReplyDeleteMy Heart Blogged
Yeah, that's why I haven't belted my secondhand Simply Vera dress the past few times I wore it. (I gave it away to my friend so I don't have it anymore.) But for this plaid dress, I HAVE to belt it or it just hangs on me and not in a good way like the Simply Vera dress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cute way to add length to a skirt!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see the advertisement to the right! That's some serious boob for a modestly hot blog!
ReplyDeletei've done this before and usually people don't even notice they think it's part of your dress or skirt ^-^ i love your outfit though it's too cute. keep posting cute girl.
ReplyDeleteWhat ad?!?
ReplyDeleteIt's okay, I'm obsessed with your blog, study it daily, and look to you for posing inspiration ALL THE TIME. Okay, maybe I'm creepy. haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the security guard- this outfit is great!
I know you don't like the word, but that is very cute. And your company has smart guards.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet outfit! I love it! The idea of wearing a skirt underneath the dress was brilliant, even though it was borrowed from a few fellow bloggers before. I also like how the lovely white belt seems to pull everything together. I'm also realizing that I'm in desperate need of a nice thick(er) waist-cinching belt!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rick! I always appreciate your comments!!!
