How do you like my new layout? I LOVE IT. OMG. I'M SO AMAZING. I got bored with my other layout and just had an uncontrollable itch to fix it up that I skipped the gym again! My priorities are obviously dead on.

I felt like a ballerina in this outfit. I just wanted to twirl and spin and skip...and I did...in my head. Speaking of ballerinas, I just bought this shirt and these flats over the weekend along with my bf jeans. I love shirts with longer sleeves. They camouflage my buff upper arms so well. And I'm sure whoever invented cap sleeves was NOT a woman...at least not a woman who was insecure about her upper arms...like the rest of us...right?...or is that just me...probably just me.

I am still accepting questions for my second Q&A sesh. Ask away here before another year passes or I don't blog anymore and/or you never see me again.

I'm wearing an H&M white shirt ($10), Forever 21 black pleated skirt (gift from my sister-in-law - buy similar!), handmade flower necklace worn as a belt ($3), and H&M black flats ($13) with a JCPenney bag (free with gift cards).
oOoOo...you make an adorable ballerina! =) and i am loving the new layout! xo
ReplyDeletep.s. i am NOT a fan of cap sleeves either!
I love your belt, or necklace, or beltlace. I like 3/4 length sleeves. They are my favorite. I like the new layout, it feels less cluttered, and clean. Not that it was ever dirty or anything.

VERY cute outfit. Adore the yellow and black together. That skirt is just awesome times ten! And yes, the new layout is lovely.
ReplyDeleteAs for cap sleeves, I confess, I like them. Longer sleeves annoy me because I think they make my arms look short. Perhaps what we women all have in common is insecurities about our arms in general. ;-)
much love: kimberellie (with a baby in her belly)
lovely skirt!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! Totally ballerina inspired. I love the new layout =)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You look amazing! I love love LOVE that necklace/belt. It's adorable! So fresh and springy. I can't wait until spring, zomg.
ReplyDeleteI used to love cap sleeves! Now I'm moving towards longer sleeves, but I have nearly all my summer t-shirts with cap sleeves! Boo.
ReplyDeleteooo love the flowers as a belt! nice touch!

I love this outfit - especially the skirt - I've been eying chiffon skirts lately, and I think I'll add the one you're wearing to my wishlist, haha. I also love the necklace worn as a belt, it really brightens it up. :)
ReplyDelete(Cute layout, btw!)
Aww you look so cute!

A lot closer than me! Closest I get is ballerina flats or frilly pink dress, but NEVER together. I have a reputation to maintain!
ReplyDeleteI love love this outfit on you. Black Swan inspired???
So perdy! And I love the new layout!! :D

So Cute. you are very pretty
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers! It is so creative to use the necklace, and it really brings the outfit to a new level!

the new layout is fresh, i like it!
ReplyDeleteand that skirt is gorgeous, every time you wear it.
Love the look! And LOVE your belt.
ReplyDeleteCap sleeves=el diablo. It was probably a man that invented them. Just like stirrup pants, because no one over a size 0 would ever invent something like that.
ReplyDeleteI love the simple, freshness of this outfit. Just gorgeous.
North Meets South
This is a really good look. You look like you're glowing. I really love that skirt. Also, I like the blog layout. It looks great.
ReplyDeletehahaha I totally feel ya on the upper arm issues. When I look at myself in the mirror, it is obvious that my shoulders extend faaar beyond my hips. I'm an inverted triangle. I don't even swim, how does that happen?! Ugh. The universe has yet to make a t-shirt that I like...though Gap has come pretty close!
ReplyDeletenice skirt!
ReplyDeleteyou look so pretty <3
You know I love this, from head to toe. I love minimalism.
ReplyDeleteI love the new layout! And also how you worked the flower necklace into a belt - this outfit looks great!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about longer sleeves. Though there is that dreaded length between cap and the length of your sleeves that just looks a little awkward. But my personal favorite has always been elbow-length. Just so feminine and forgiving.
ReplyDeleteI wish you had posted a pic of you twirling. Woulda been so fun! ;)

I love the new layout. And that skirt is to die for. I need one!. I feel exactly the same way about capped sleeves. I have buffy buff upper arms, and if I gain a pound it goes right there. Since us mormon girls stay away from sleeveless, I stalk these shirts with longer sleeves. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the new layout and LOVE the skirt! Any ya, I'm totally with you on the sleeves. Makes no sense!
ReplyDeleteYou are cute. lol
ReplyDeleteAnd I do like the new layout!
What a lovely way to are some cheer to the black and white outfit! Skirt is so so pretty, cute ballerina, gym can wait when you look this lovely!

Adorbs! the outfit... the layout too. Though I'm trying not to get bored with my layout because I have absolutely not graphic design talents so that means finding someone to change it up... and that's just stressful.
ReplyDeleteI think the longer sleeves look more professional too.
i really love the outfit. so fresh and springy. i also enjoy the new layout, looks good. and for reals about cap sleeves. they make me so self conscious, i like a good sleeve length.
ReplyDeleteoh and the yellow belt/flower/genius/necklace thing is adorable looks great as a belt.
Yes! definitely loving the new layout!! And also really love the ballerina-esque outfit. The skirt is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYAY! NEW LAYOUT! So pretty... I'm so jealous of your HTML skills.
ReplyDeleteAnd in total agreement... cap sleeves are the devil. But so princess-y and cute. Damn upper arms! Why must you be so hard to tone!??!
So pretty outfit!
ReplyDeleteYour waist looks super-duper tiny in these pictures! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove the new layout, and LOVE how you used the necklace as a belt, so perfect!
ReplyDeleteLooove the new layout! Pops of color is the way to go...and turquoise, my fav. ;)
ReplyDeleteDo it... I dare you... Make it tough with a moto jacket or hard jewelry.
ReplyDeleteSo do mine! I'm realizing my shoulders aren't getting any slimmer...
ReplyDeleteMe too! I'm just waiting for someone to exploit this longer-sleeve idea to us Mormons... I'm surprised Shade or DownEast hasn't picked it up yet.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Even when I "work out" my arms they just seem to get bigger and not slimmer...
ReplyDeleteYay! Mission accomplished. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCap sleeves are truly horrible - especially if one has broad shoulders and arm muscles/flab (no matter how hard I work out its never smaller, just firmer or softer. ick.)
ReplyDeleteAhh!! Me too! I hate arms! Okay, that's not true.
ReplyDeletelove the skirt and the new lay out, much more appealing and easy to navigate.
ReplyDeleteCap sleeves are not my friend, though I wear them anyways sometimes. I'm in love with this look, I looooove twirling and being girly and pretty. so. much. fun. !
ReplyDeletehttp://mygrowingobsessions.blogspot.com
Oh that is soo cute :) Plus, the new layout is rockin! Very cool!!!
ReplyDeleteOhhh great ballerina look it's so different from your other oufits, i love this style on you so simple and feminine!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://insidekatouscloset.blogspot.com
Great twist on the ballerina outfit. I love all the different ways you wear the flower sash, but this might be my fav!
ReplyDeleteWell, buff upper arms aside, I prefer women's tops that have sleeves like what you're wearing. I bought my wife a woman's t-shirt on-line and was surprised to see it had almost no sleeves--I didn't like it. I thought all t-shirts were like the men's variety.
ReplyDeleteBTW, having you as an on-line friend is the closest to a ballerina I'll ever be!!! =)
OMGosh! You're adorable! I love it! I need to follow you because I clearly need some fashion assistance.
ReplyDeleteI hate hate hate cap sleeves!! Such an unflattering length of sleeve unless you have arms that are amazing...
ReplyDeleteI love feeling like a ballerina!
that skirt? is adorbs!! i love it so much. just about as much as i love your new design!!
ReplyDeleteI love this look on you. The flowers add the perfect touch to a classic look. And the new layout looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is so super-adorably cute. I LOVE the necklace-turned-belt!
ReplyDeleteI have a skirt like this...but I've not worn it yet. I think you've given me an idea or two.
ReplyDeleteSwooning over the skirt. And the flower belt is perfection!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I love that skirt, perfect for twirling haha No, I'm with you cap sleeves are terrible, so not flattering. Who wants a shirt that cuts you off at your thickest point?
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful!! I absolutely looooove that belt!! Will definitely try to do one for myself... ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your new design! I'm launching mine today, hopefully!
