So this is kind of what I wore today. I kind of like it. This sweater is super warm and cozy so it was a bummer it was such a nice day today because it ruined my whole outfit. I had to take my sweater off at work so nobody got the full essence of my outfit. Totally ruined my day.

What I love most about this outfit is the little flounce of the skirt of my dress at the bottom. If it were poofier, it would've been even more awesome so it'll have to settle for just awesome...for now.

See how defined my calves are? No? I would've flexed them for you but I don't know how. Don't laugh at me. Chase already does. My secret is wearing heels...and I guess working out. I don't know. I'm not a scientist.

I didn't go to the gym today. I had a brownie and it was really hard for me to eat and digest but I ate it anyway. So now I'm going to take a nap. ...It took a lot of energy.

I'm wearing Forever 21 cardigan (gift from my love), thrifted dress ($5), Old Navy belt ($10 - buy it!), and Forever 21 boots ($16 - buy similar!) with a JCPenney bag (free with gift cards).

This is a great look. I love the slightly cowboy edge from the dress and the boots.
ReplyDeletelove the outfit! I totally can't flex either. My brother thinks I'm bluffing, but I really can't. Sigh. We'll be flex-less together.

ReplyDeleteTextures and patterns make this outfit so interesting and fun!

Ooooh, the weather totally ruined your outfit. The sweater just brings it to another level. Another level of awesome. Stupid LA.
ReplyDeleteI skipped a workout too, for the past year. I did one or two (or five) fruit & yogurt shooters at a brunch, so I'm going to count that my healthy meal for the day....which will balance the 1.5 cinnamon sugar bagels, right?

Loving the way you styled this outfit, very chic! Happy Friday xx
ReplyDeleteYes! That is exactly it. ...except I'm inside all day and never see natural light.
ReplyDeleteFabulous sweater. No wonder you hated to take it off. I think this time of year is hard. You get dressed for one temperature in the morning and then by noon you're in an entirely different climate.
ReplyDeletewhat a fantastic sweater! great transition piece
ReplyDeleteEnter my 1st giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI kind of really love this. Like one of my favorite outfits of yours for real! Why can't the weather just cooperate with the clothes we pick out???
ReplyDeleteI love that cardigan. It looks so comfy.
ReplyDeleteLove, Shellsea - Giveaway Today :)
hahahah I HAAAATE when that happens! Except for me, it's usually the other way around. Super cute outfit, ruined by a big coat over it that no one can see through. I need a transparent jacket. Or I need to learn to shiver more gracefully. :)
ReplyDelete"All asians have monster calves."
ReplyDeleteQuote from my husband when I first met him after he complimented me on mine. I laughed it off then but now realize it is a fact. All asians without exception have great calves. They're either big, defined or a combintion of the two. Flat feet being the cause is my theory.
You're so right! And then there are the Asians who have jelly calves.
ReplyDeleteI have flat wide feet with high arches. Shoe shopping is the worst. Trying on pants is even worse with a big butt and short legs!
So we should go shopping now, yes?
Hehe--next time have two brownies and you won't need to go to the gym for a week...but honestly, you don't NEED to go.
ReplyDeleteI love this!!!! Awesome shoes, amazing sweater, adorable dress, lovely girl. This outfit wins.
ReplyDeleteI;m loving this on you. It makes your waist look amazing. Which I understand is kinda creepy. I can live with that maybe. Anyway I love your blog! I love your hair.

It was so super cold in SD today. By cold I mean 65 -- but I was regretting wearing a skirt. I went home and changed... and I don't feel as cute! Boo!
ReplyDeletei love this outfit. i really love the combination of the plaid and the textured grey of the cardigan. and those boots...hmm. i want them. super cute!

So jeal. I am def lacking in the arch department. The hubs says it looks like my feet are suctioned to our tile floor. It's ok though, I have a sexy pair of orthotic inserts.
ReplyDeleteSadly I can't wear heels any higher than 3 inches & even then I can only last an hour or 2. Luckily I'm 5'8 which is like Yao Ming status for Korean women.
Someone NEEDS to make skinny jeans for those of us who are well endowed in the calf area.
Can I have your weather? I'm for real jealous. Our snow is still melting.
ReplyDeleteMy Heart Blogged
i love the sweater, it looks really comfy without looking bulky. looks great with the plaid dress too!

If you want bummer weather - move to Chicago ;-0 - in January!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit, as usual.....
Those boots are super cute. I think you're maybe the first person I've heard complaining about nice weather in months. Some might call you lucky.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your sweater. It's gorgeous & works beautifully with the rest of the outfit. xx v
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I always seem to pick the wrong outfits for the wrong weather.. Something is wrong and it's not us!
ReplyDeleteTransparent coat... You should do it!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the sweater with the dress. It's so cute and flirty without being over the top.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha.. And 5'8"?? You're a giant compared to me (5'4").. Kidding. You're model height - jealous.
ReplyDeleteFor real. I have a hard time getting them on and off around my calves and then my thighs and then my butt. Hm..
Aw, thanks, Rick! But I definitely do! I just like to hide it...
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, thanks, Sarah. I'm pretty sure it's creepy but it's okay if it's coming from you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing!! I think that's why I liked it too because it's not as Elaine as my usual outfits.
ReplyDeleteYeah, 65 is freezing.
ReplyDeleteAnd...you're cute.
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love it for that reason too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, thanks!
ReplyDeleteEek, no, thank you... I can't even handle 50, 60 degree weather here...
ReplyDeleteIt's only lucky when you dress for the right weather...

ReplyDeletecute and little
Sounds like the perfect workout to me. Brownie, check! Nap, check!
ReplyDeleteGreat thrift find too.
At least you caught the essence of the outfit in pictures before you had to take off your sweater so we can all enjoy the cuteness!
