Chase and I went to San Diego for the weekend because his parents were there watching their grandkids while my sister-in-law and her husband were on vaca. So we thought we'd go down and bum off them. And we did. We got pizza and Cold Stone. Sooo worth it..

I'm wearing Forever 21 cardigan (gift from my boyfriend - buy it!), secondhand scarf ($3), Forever 21 maxi dress ($5), and Forever 21 boots ($16).

I'm wearing a Love Stitch blouse ($4), DownEast Basics shirt underneath (gift from my mother-in-law - buy it!), Forever 21 necklace (gift from my dear husband - buy it!), skirt from Korea ($10), and JCPenney heels (free with gift cards).

Afterwards, we went along the coast to see some of the old lighthouses. There really is a baby in this stroller. And it's not my doll.

I only brought one change of clothes for church and didn't know we'd do outdoorsy stuff like walking afterwards so I had to make do with what I had. I really liked that I belted my white blouse but Chase didn't. He said it looked too Utah. Worst. compliment. ever.

I'm wearing a Forever 21 cardigan (gift from this guy - buy it!), Love Stitch blouse ($4), DownEast Basics shirt underneath (gift from my mother-in-law - buy it!), Forever 21 maxi dress ($5), Old Navy belt ($10 - buy it!), and Forever 21 boots ($16).

I think our nephew was talking to us...or a pelican.
San Diego looks so pretty and it seems like you two had a great time! you can't beat pizza and Coldstone. i actually really love the belted blouse look too!
ReplyDeletecute and little
I'm pretty sure accidentally calling your husband your boyfriend is the cutest thing ever. That or your purple heels. Can't decide. Either way, you win.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits! I love them! You inspired me to dress up my maxi dress! You can see my maxi style here if you like: www.natashaatkerson.blogspot.com

I love the second look the most. But you look great in all of them :)
ReplyDeleteOuch, that is harsh. i think you'd have to have more rinestones on your "a" to look utah...and half blond hair...and fake nails...and fake tan..and fake boobs..and a shade shirt with a tight tank on top. nailed it.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the skirt in the second outfit! The detail compliments the detail on the top perfectly. Very pretty!
ReplyDeletei love the lonnnng skirts so many fash bloggers have been rockin lately. very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBahaha. "Too Utah." What a great husband you have.
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! Sounds like an awesome weekend!! You look great in all the outfits :)

Too Utah? What does he know? I think the blouse needed the belt especially with the long length of the skirt. Otherwise you would have been "waistless" and you have one, so need to look "waistless".
ReplyDeleteLovely outfits. i love the last one!
ReplyDeleteI am currently in love with maxi dresses! Your outfit looks just like what I've been planning on wearing tomorrow since Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhat do men know? I think the belted blouse looked great, and I'm not from Utah. Silly boy.

Who has two thumbs and used to work at Coldstone, this girl. I still love their ice cream after working there a year. It was my first job, and I loved it. Now that's out of the way I like your outfit. I think your belt looks awesome, and nothing like a state.

The black and white outfit is fantastic on you! I adore your beautiful purple pumps!
ReplyDeleteI'm going down to SD really soon to do some weekending there myself :) With so little that you packed, you still managed to look good! I especially love your church outfit!
ReplyDeleteAw, you packed so many great outfits so efficiently. :) And "too Utah" is kind of amazing feedback.

Aw, welcome to my neck of California - glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteMy husband doesn't want me to wear wedge shoes because he says they are "too Utah." Even though I know he is wrong, that all sorts of people wear wedges, it is the worst thing ever! And I will never wear them.
You guys are so adorable. I love your outfit with the maxi skirt. You look so hip and comfy at the same time. ;)

What does Too Utah mean?? =P
ReplyDeleteHAhaha "or we saw a pelican" so cute! =)
I like your outfit for church! Sort of peasant-y but a classy peasant, like a proper polished one.. I'm rambling, it was cute. the end.

ReplyDeletei loooove the long skirt!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely gorgeous !! I love that belted blouse look!
ReplyDeleteI love the purple shoes, they are so cute, and for what it's worth, I think the belted shirt looks great!
ReplyDeleteYay for a fun weekend in SD and pizza AND ice cream! And I love that church outfit specially!

i am LOL about "too utah". i have no idea what that means, and i thought the belt was nice with the blouse- it makes it look different than how you previously wore it! maybe i'm too utah as well :) also, i'm drooling over those (non-utah) purple shoes!!
ReplyDeletei get what u mean about too utah, and i'm not mormon or from utah, but i browse blogs and see a trend when i see one. your white top might look good over skinny (like really skinny) jeans and some boots...that'll make it kind of la or boho chic:)
ReplyDeleteYou always impress me with how you pull outfits together. Love the pink shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love San Diego! Tell hubs that you don't look too Utah you need a denim shirt and braided belt!:) I think that's uniform here or at least it used to be! You look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip. I also really love that cardigan you're in! Looks so nice.
ReplyDeletehaha a pelican OR your nephew-too funny! I adore that top and I love the belt on it. I lived in Utah, it is NOT too UT Chase! It's adorable. Great pics of San Diego, I'm planning a trip there, thanks for the pics! :)
ReplyDeleteLike both outfits so cute and classy :)

I love these three looks and how you have remixed everything together. You look very comfortable pushing your nephew along there - it's a wonderful photo of you.
ReplyDeleteYour church outfit is mighty lovely... and so is Coldstone.
ReplyDeletetoo Utah. Ha. I'm a total schlumpy utah-an now and it's not my favorite. I'm not even from here originally! I'm from Washington! I should be cooler!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of you and Chase is absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI understand the impulse to belt the top... but I'm not liking it. The belt seems to heavy and dark for that light, airy, delicate top.
ReplyDeleteWithout the belt you would have looked:
ReplyDelete1) pregnant
2) lke a shapeless stick figure OR
3) too Utah (at least my little corner of Utah)
